**Update**

Hello! It's Leigh Ann here. I just had a wonderful (but much too short) talk with Susan on the phone. She's asked me to update each of you on Mickey.

Mickey had his surgery yesterday (Thursday) and it went very, very well. He has already been eating some lunch as well as sitting up!!!

Susan sounded in wonderful spirits and they are both very thankful for how our Lord orchestrated the events that led up to this earlier than previously scheduled surgery. He was certainly with them on their drive back home and with Marc being able to help drive.

Susan feels so also very appreciative for the support of family and friends. She told me their dear friends, Don and Barbara, spent one evening with them, their pastor was able to visit and they had their two daughters, two grandchildren and one son with them as well.

She was very excited to also tell me that while in the hospital, she received a call from Retha in Africa. Oh Retha - how you blessed dear Susan with that call!!!

I know she is thankful for each of you and your prayers!

I am sure she will be eager to get back and provide you with a better update.

    Praise God for His care of two wonderful people. I am so thankful but not really surprised that the surgery went well. Praying a healing touch now.

    I just read the past two posts and am so sorry for the problem. We never know why the Lord allows things like this to happen but because we are His we must believe it is for our good.

    I'm glad to hear your husband is doing well. This seems to be a common surgery these days. My father had it done four years ago, and did quite well, despite the fact he's an atheist and as far as I know, no one prayed for him. He goes to the gym regularly and is traveling overseas right now without problems. I think it's all about having the right doctor and taking care of your health the best you can.
