Then Saturday my oldest daughter, Suzette, treated me to a manicure, a pedicure and lunch to celebrate my birthday 5 days early. After lunch she had a little shopping to do, and after I left her I bought my final gift for Mickey (I'll share that with you later....shhhhh). Suzette & I had such a good time and what a treat. Thank you, honey.
Sunday, after church, we meet Marc, Oksana & Aric for lunch at St*eak & Sh*ake. That is always good and a treat.
Just lots of fun times with those we love and cherish as we finish up the final touches for Christmas day. It is C-O-L-D here!!!!! We don't have all the snow so many of you are suffering with but we sure have the bitter cold and Low temperatures. Sure glad for our nice warm home and Mickey & I are just staying in today. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Today the post man brought a lovely Birthday Card from my forever friend, Joan, and a packages of sweetness and joy from Double Nickle Farm & Jen & Family. I was so touched by both. It also brought the sad news, from the daughter of some friends from Illinois that we meet in Alaska in 1998, that her mother had passed away in September. Boy, that brought the reality of how fragile our lives are and how we must enjoy those we are blessed to have in our lives. I truly believe God brings the friends He chooses into our lives for HIS purposes. My prayer is that I always life up to His plans & purposes in my life.
Remember to Celebrate JESUS
I am so sorry to read of the loss of your friend. I am happy that you are the type that many feel a closeness as it makes all the difference.
