A FUN BUSY DAY & WEIGH-IN

Well, as you can see, and I'm sorry to say, the little lady bug seems to be stuck!!!! Or rather, I am stuck. So this was a INDIFFERENT week AGAIN on my weight. One good thing I did walk 6 days this past week. Monday & Saturday we did our 30 minute walk around the outer edge of We*lm*art. On Monday we bought a DVD by Les*lie San*sone called Wa*lk A*way the Pou*nds a 5-day fit walk for indoor walking. I had owned a VCR by her a number of years ago and had given it away. It has 5 different workouts on it but so far I'm still working on the first one which is a 1 mile walk and lasts about 30 minutes. Mickey & I are doing it together.

My daughter, Suzette, had the day off and called me to have lunch with her and do go with her while she did some shopping. I always enjoy the time we get to spend together like that.

Then this evening Marc & Aric came over for dinner and Marc helped me with some computer questions and issues I had. We always enjoy having them and Marc has been so busy lately we've seen very little of him.

The temps have been in the 50's & 60's and all the ice is gone. YEAH!!!

That's it for today!!!

  1. Keep at it my friend, it will come off. We are discovering the benefits of flaxseed at my house. Seems to help all the systems.

  3. Sounds like you are doing what you need to do in exercising. I have the food thing down, but working out is much harder for me. Keep it up Susan!

  5. That leveling off for awhile happens...but you're doing great!
And how neat that you and Mickey are doing it together...(and that he's now well enough to do that, praise God!)

I didn't think it really was a true way to keep fit but this Wii Fit we got for Christmas has honestly toned me up a lot! Amazing!

Anyway, keep at it...you'll see more results before you know it, and just think of how healthy you're keeping yourself!

  6. Hello Beautiful Friend,
Good for you. I could do with the same DVD. I homeschool and don't get out walking as much as we should. I have gained too much weight over the past year and feel yuck. Those wretched carbs are to blame!!
    Bless you susan,

  8. It's tough getting stuck but the walking will help I'm sure. At least it is something the two of you can do together.

  10. all that walking is so good for you. maybe you've been building up some muscle and that weighs more, thus not losing any weight for the last couple of weeks. keep it up... i'm sure those pounds will start coming off.

it does sound like a nice day.

  13. It is unpleasant if things does not go as one would like it to happen. Like the others I also say standing still is not bad at all.
And the walking is so good for our bones!

  14. It sometimes helps to change the routine a bit. Do a stationary bike or walk where there is more inclines. I walk up and down the stairs somedays so the body uses and challenges different muscles. Hang in there it is making a difference.
Glad hubby is doing so well. You are so right, we are blessed.

  17. I think you are on the right track.
Stand stills are better than gaining so hang it there it will happen one of these days.
We are cold and have a few snow flurries again.
    God bless.

  18. I sure wish it was 50-60 here! Right now it's -17c (0F) but much colder with the windchill factor. I'm getting mighty tired of Winter, let me tell you! lol I'll have to take new pictures to show how much snow we have, it's ridiculous.

You may not be losing the weight every week but at least you are exercising and I've heard that walking is one of the best things you can do. xoxo

  19. You and me both! I am getting to the gym most days, though.

I am so glad to hear that the ice is gone!

  20. Glad you had a chance to have a nice time with your daughter! I wouldn't worry about your weight. Sometimes when you exercise more, you actually can gain a pound or two (but it's muscle which weighs more than fat!)

  21. Some weeks are going to be like that! To be expected. Hey, I have that Walk Away the Pounds on video. It really helped me lose weight three years ago. Perfect when it's extra hot or cold out. I need to get it out again. :) Keep hanging in there and you'll see what happens!

  22. I'm stuck right along with you, Susan. My scales haven't budged in almost 2 weeks. I seem to have hit a plateau, but I'm not quitting! I just got finished working out on our gazelle. I always feel better after I do!

    Have a great evening!

  24. It's great that you have a goal and are working toward it. A few days of leisure shouldn't ruin it as long as your goal is still just that, your goal. If you walked all last week, maybe you just needed a little break to get some reserves built up to do it all over again. My daughter is back on an exercise regiment and is determined to keep it up so maybe I'll send her your way to see how you are doing.

  26. Oh - I didn't mean to discourage you about typing the book in! I appreciate your doing it very much. It is very nice to know that it is there and I may get the chance to read it sometime.

  27. Sometimes it takes our bodies a week or two to adjust to the weight we've lost already. Keep persevering and you'll see the scale move again!

  28. Good for you for posting your results. I know it's frustrating. Keep up the exercise & healthy eating & things will pick up again soon.

  30. Hey, I really like the photo of you and your husband.
Walking is a great way to lose weight. I take the dog each night. If I could, I'd walk all day with him! Don't forget to stretch as well!

  31. You are making important changes! Just keep up with that walking lady!!!!!!!! Those tapes by Leslie are wonderful. I bought one for my mom and she LOVES it. :D

As for me, we had company last night and I made dessert. It was, possibly, the best cherry crisp I ever made in my entire life. Sometimes it stinks to be such a good cook! We sent some home with our guests, but still ended up with enough for...(dare I say it) Breakfast!

    Oh mercy, it was good!

I immediately went back to my diet for lunch!
