Today I am showing our Lupine plants that are blooming!!!
My dear friend, Anita, from Germany sent us these wonderful seeds last spring.
We planted the seeds and they did not seem to do much and we thought it was perhaps our weather here versus Germany.
Well THIS spring, when we cleared the bed , here were these lovely green lupine plants growing. Now look.......beautiful purple spikes.
We still had some of the seeds left so we planted them in small pots and started them in the garage under the growth light. We recently planted quite a few of them in my "Fruit of the Spirit" flower bed. I am believing by next spring they will be blooming there, in addition to these spreading in this corner flower bed.
Anita has absolutely one of the most beautiful gardens ever. I am just so honored to have this little touch of that beauty now blessing us. I hope you will go visit her blog, My Country Cottage Garden. You will be in for a real treat. Be sure and tell her Susan sent you.
That's is just beautiful Susan. I promise one of these days I'm gonna grow something...and when I do your gonna be the first one I tell because you alway inspire me to do so!

That's nice that it grows now ! I don't have a green thumb, but I love to sit in a beautiful garden full of blooming plants and flowers !

I just love Lupines. They grow wild along the highways in Maine. Absolutely beautiful. Have your ever read the children's book The Lupine Lady by...I can't remember now...I think it's barbara something. It's a wonderful read and the illustrations are so great.

I love lupines! They always remind me of our numerous trips to Prince Edward Island. Lupines... and the red soil... and green potato fields... reaching down to the blue, blue sea. We have lupines here in northern New England too, but lupines always "say" PEI to me.
