As you can see from the small print below the picture this is Helix Nebula taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
I like to think of it as The Eye of God. From my post here, on His Eye is On The Sparrow, I like to picture His watching over me with this beautiful image of His creation. However, He does it I'm just so very thankful to know that He does watch over each and every one of us that are His.

Spectacular! This just reminded me -- When I was hospitalized last year I'd to focus on a certain painting -- a pastel desert scene ... almost abstract. Anyway, if I scrunched up my eyes "just so", the background appeared (to me) like a giant, benovolent eye... the eye of God, of course. He is everywhere!

ReplyDeleteWow, that's amazing, it really does look like an eye. I remember a song we used to sing in church back in the 40s called There's An Eye Watching You.. This reminded me of it.
