Now we are experiencing a few fall like days. That's very unusual for our area here at this time of the year. Also, we've had no threats of Hurricanes on the Gulf Coast. That is awesome.

I don't know what it all means, but I know I'm thankful!

Blessings Susan, have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!Debrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16140046660664590895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8183659495792368796.post-88886474250357183792009-09-04T19:08:56.358-05:002009-09-04T19:08:56.358-05:00Awesome, Susan! Pastor was talking about a word someone gave him awhile back about the harvest coming to our area and to get ready not for hundreds but for thousands. That's incredible because we live in a small town, population about 15,000. Remember Elijah and the sound of an abundance of rain? There was a cloud the size of a man's hand. An extremely small beginning with a big ending. Our town and my church had an extremely small beginning, but look out for the big ending because there is a sound of abundance of rain. Praise God. Thanks for the Word, it is confirmation for me.Karennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8183659495792368796.post-47434965415781536322009-09-04T09:12:49.751-05:002009-09-04T09:12:49.751-05:00It's amazing how or states border each other, ...It's amazing how or states border each other, but our weather has been so different.
We have had record breaking heat all summer and little rain to speak of.
Keeps up praying. I feel so blessed to live in the area I do. So many churches that are full and ministering to people. So many opportunities to study God's word and reach out to others.
♥
JoyJoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11198238631600746173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8183659495792368796.post-1093649789485209762009-09-04T08:48:51.678-05:002009-09-04T08:48:51.678-05:00Thank you Kathy for this!!! God always speaks with 2 or more witnesses and you just confirmed what He is speaking to me.

Your application about the desert just opening up and receiving is awesome. Also, His coming suddenly and unexpectedly. WOW What an awesome God we serve.
SusanSusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11360047123820906113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8183659495792368796.post-51649582115374557122009-09-04T08:27:41.612-05:002009-09-04T08:27:41.612-05:00Wow, I almost posted on this very thing last night...Wow, I almost posted on this very thing last night because out of nowhere we just got a gully-washer. Unexpected, nothing during the day indicated it was coming, but come it did! In fact, a large tree came down across the main road leading into our subdivision. I truly felt it was a spiritual sign beyond the physical relief that came along with it.

I saw it as God coming on the scene. Suddenly and unexpected. That He was only going to allow the onslaught of His people for so long, and then he was going to come like a pounding rain. Refreshing those in need.

The other thing I saw was that the desert doesn't question whether it's rain or not, it simply receives it. The only life the desert gets is from the rain He gives, and I felt there was some serious application on that. As in, the desert doesn't have to see or understand the cloud, it just receives it's outpouring. We could stand to become a bit more like that.

Long response, but it struck a chord with me.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03852361286674074590noreply@blogger.com
