GETTING HONEST - Back to the weight!

We'll I can't "wait" any longer to deal with the "weight" I need to lose.

This comic strip was mailed to me by my dear friend, Don!!!
It's time to get honest and time to get back to the task. As you can see I've changed my "Ticker" to read the 38 lbs I truly need to lose. When I posted the ticker before I only put up 20 lbs because I was afraid if I looked at the real amount I needed to lose I'd get discouraged......but that wasn't being totally honest with myself.

I had managed to lose 11 of those pounds and then.........well, no excuses.......I didn't stay with the challenge and so I begin this New Year with a weight loss of 7 pounds and 31 to go.

As before, I will weigh in each Monday and report if I've done good, bad or indifferent. So this Monday I have to report a really big BAD!!! But, this is a New Year and a new week.......so here goes!!

38 pounds is what I truly need to lose to look like I'd like to look, weight wise.

I signed up for a widget and one of the inspirations was "Change is a choice". It was a YIKES for me but one I needed to hear.

Good for you Susan! I need to loose about the same amount, but am not as brave as you to put up a ticker. I know myself too well...

I just got back from the gym. I really need to loose about 10 pounds. I'm OK with working out, I just don't like to change the way I eat. I need to face reality though.
I havent put up a ticker either. Not brave enough for that.
I admire you. I know you'll do it.

Good luck....it is such a challenge with food all around us! My sister just lost over 90 lbs so I know it can be done!

I know what you mean. Actually, my weight widget disappeared the last time I changed my blog and I forgot about it. But I haven't forgot about the last 10-15 lbs I need to lose. I've decided to do something little each week that will get me back in the groove. This week for me is cutting back on my sugar intake. I was doing pretty good, but the holidays bit me in the...well, you know!
We CAN do this!

I think you have done very well! And this all though your difficult times and time of festivity.

I think most of us need to get serious and lose a few pounds...I need to get motivated and start eating healthier as well as do exercises!! After the holidays, I'm not daring to go even near my scale until I feel I've lost a couple of pounds! lol Best of luck my friend, I know you can do it:-) xoxo

I completely understand about losing focus with the weight loss. Over Christmas we kind of let things go at our house. Now we're having to refocus & get back on track too! Good for you for being honest with yourself, too. I look forward to seeing your results!

I have to confess - I gained back about 9 of the 16 I lost last summer. So frustrating! I am getting there again, at least motivated, so we'll do this together - I need to lose 34. We can do it!!

I have never had a word for the year, and have not really prayed for one. But this morning the word "flexiblity hit me - that's my word for these years I'm living.

The gym is really crowded, as it is every year in January. I hate to say it, but I hope lots of them lose their incentive so there's more space! Ha..

Putting it on here is a great way to hold yourself accountable.

I've slowly allowed pepsi back into the house...and I'm just so tired in the mornings that crawling out of bed and going into the frigid basement to walk is the furthest thing from my mind - but I need to do it. I hope this is the gentle nudge I needed!

Take it one day at a time - don't get discouraged!!

i stopped my exercising and need to get back on the wagon. it so hard going through the holidays and during the winter months. i love walking outside, but can't do it when it's so cold out. that means i have to go to the gym. that's harder to be motivated for.

way to go Susan!!

I think that we've made it to the end of the year with an overall LOSS is fantastic!!

It's a slow process and that's okay. It will always be two steps forward one back and that's okay. So long as over the long haul (the entire year) we're netting a loss we have reason to CELEBRATE!
