It's Friday again and you know the routine! If you don't, please go here to read & learn all about it. During the 7 years we lived in Albuquerque (1984-1991) we ran a little craft store for 2 of those years.
It was called Crafter's Showcase.(Click on all pictures to enlarge)
We made up these What Not Displays from yardsticks. The opposite side (which I did not show) has the phone # & address.
This What Not Display hangs in our computer room above Mickey's desk.
The totem pole on the top is from our trip to Alaska. The little male & female Amish wrought iron figurines are from when we visited the Pennsylvania Amish country. The thimble belonged to my mother. The little yellow creature we picked up in Arizona the winter we travel there.
The nail I bought at a flea market in Arizona. It has "37" printed on the top of it. I bought it because I was born in 1937! The little plastic Mickey Mouse is just because & we've had him for ages. The wrought iron hook we bought when we toured the John Deere Museum in Illinois. The balloon & Mickey Mouse stamps represent our ballooning days and our 2 balloons, Suzy Blue & later Pink A Boo. The red creature was gotten at the same time as the yellow one above. Two nails in the bottom slot. One is rectangular in shape, rather than round. The other one is similar to the one above but has "32" printed on it. We purchased it at the same flea market in Arizona because Mickey's birth year is 1932!!Thanks for letting me share another little piece of what adorns our home and some of our memories.
What a neat mini display! I don't know what cooler, the ruler shelf or the goodies on it! I love when goodies have a history!

ReplyDeleteVery clever! Love the minis. Someone else posted tiny things today, which made me think of the miniature shelves I bought both kids when they were young, and had full of fun goodies - wish I could remember what happened to all of them! So sad that I don't.
