The Center Of His Word

I've been cleaning out some old files today and found this. Some of you may already be aware of this truth, but wanted to post it for those who may not know. Be blessed.
The Center Of His Word

Question: What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
Answer: Psalms 117

Question: What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
Answer: Psalms 119

Question: What is the center of the Bible?
Answer: Psalms 118

There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118.
There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118.
Add those numbers up and you get 1188.

Question: What is the center verse in the Bible?
Answer: Psalms 118:8.

Question: Does this verse say anything significant about God's Perfect Will for our lives?

The next time someone says they would like to find God's Perfect Will for their lives and want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center if His Word!!!

Psalms 118:8: "It is better to trust in the LORD
than to put confidence in men".
Now isn't that odd how this worked out!!!.....
(or was God in the center of it all?"

Just read you comment on learning all the ins and outs of blogging. I, too had to learn along the way. I was very thankful for my husband and my 18 year old daughter. You may have to get that sweet granddaughter of yours to come over and show you a trick or two. Kids today are so savvy on the computer. I learn every day how to do a little more. Don't give up! Once you learn something it makes it so much more fun.

Oh, I wanted to ask you last time, are you from near Broken Arrow? Just guessing you might be familiar with Willey George.

Ginger - Thanks for the encouragement. I won't give up. I'm loving being able to communicate with lovely people.

Yes, I live in Coweta. A small town a little SE of Broken Arrow. Familiar with Willey George but don't attend his church. Do hear him on our Christian radio station.

Amy - Goes to show who wrote THE BOOK!!

Our church as been connected with Willey Georges ministry for years. Just wondered if that is where you attended. Blaine Bartell who is from that ministry was just here in W Michigan recently with Ron Luce from Teen Mania ministries which we are involved with. Our daughter attended TM and was on staff there for a year. It's in Garden Valley, TX.

Ginger - We don't personally have any connection with TM but I am familiar with their work and know it is wonderful and so needed.

I have a neat story about Church on the Move (George's church). In 2000 we bought a new, bigger pickup to pull our RV. When we test drove it we put the radio on the Christian station. When we returned the salesman made note of it and we found out he attended Church on the Move. To make a long story short (Ha!) when we picked our truck up a few days later the 3 of us (my husband, the car salesman & I) stood in the parking lot, or a very cold day, and the salesman prayed a REAL prayer over us and our travels.

It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful surprises and blessing the Lord gives us. We have bought a lot of vehicles over our long married life and never had one prayed over by the salesman before. To me, that speaks volumes of that Ministry.
