If we do not meet this side of heaven I am so glad we will be side by side at the throne of the Father!

Thanks for being the strong woman you are and for the new post :)

A nice post, I found it by googling. But please don't forget the Olympian gods: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Hera, Ares, Athena, Apollo, Aphrodite, Hermes, Artemis and Hephaestus.

And then there are the Norse gods: Loki, Odin, Thor, Freya, Ragnarok, Tyr, Valkyries, Asgard, Baldur and Hel.

I feel sure you wouldn't want to ignore these to whom we owe so much of our culture, for example, some of the names of the days of the week.

And of course there are many other gods associated with other cultures, besides our own.

Good heavens, I never realised there were so many gods who were responsible for these different duties. I suppose you call it "division of labour". Thanks for the enlightenment. Is there a god of blogs, do you suppose?

What a truly lovely and beautiful post Susan. Many of those I hadn't heard before, but they are all so wonderful. I loved the scriptures that went with them!

Hey Wayne, don't forget Mars, the mighty God of War, the one worshipped by our president. I think we should all pray to Aphrodite for the Democrats.

Thanks for the awesome post! I needed that reminder today! The post you received from the young man reminded me of times during my ministry. I told one lady once, "If I was to be wrong about Jesus, I have nothing to lose," "But if your wrong, you have everything to lose." The thing is, I have everything to gain, and I'm not wrong. Why take the chance? The great world wide web really gives great opportunity to reach into the highways and byways, just like the Word says. Thanks for your wonderful postings.

"God the Father, God the Father, God the Son, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, God the Holy Spirit, three in One. Three in One." It's a simple song I love to sing with my son.

Three persons, One eternally existant, all knowing, all loving, and all powerful God. He is everything to me. Thanks for the informative post describing the attributes of our Savior and Lord.

One day each of us will meet Him face to face as either Savior or Judge. Oh how Jesus longs for people to come to Him as their personal Savior.

"When we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:6-8

From one sinner saved by grace to another...

Oh, I just LOVE praying through the names of God. If I'm having a hard time "entering in", I know I can just go to this and in no time I am deep in God's presence.

Susan, like several others I didn't know there were so many names like 7 I don't remember ever hearing. Thanks for the post. I will have to look up the scriptures tomorrow that goes with them. As ruth says, I too love to pray thru some of the names that are more familiar to me and soon I feel the presence of the Lord around me. Thank you for your work and research to put all these wonderful thing together for us to FEED on. God Bless!!! your friend Don
