FRIENDSHIP & SNOW!!!

This picture does not do it justice, but I received this lovely red rose, with silver leaves and stem, in the mail yesterday from a wonderful blog friend.
YOU know who you are.
The card reads: "Friend - You are a special gift sent from above. Thank you for your kindness and your love." I was so surprised, and so touched with this lovely token of our deep and growing friendship.
YOU know what the card reads is what you are to me.
This rose is from an
"Iron sharpenth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17
friend. I praise God for your sharpening my dear friend.
THANK YOU for being that type of friend to me!!!!!

Look what we woke up to this morning. The rain gauge on the table is an 8" gauge. I stuck a ruler in the snow on the table top and it measured 6 1/2". This is at our home in Coweta. They received NO snow in Tulsa, 25 miles to our NW. Go figure!!!!

The view of my back yard with the beautiful snow. Since we get very little snow here it is a treat for us. I know all my friends in the North are laughing at this Okie making such a big deal over a 6 1/2" snow in her yard. The nice thing about snow in Oklahoma.......it doesn't stay around very long. They are predicting 60 degree weather for Sunday. Go figure.

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red as crimson, they shall be as wool". Isaiah 1:18

The Lord has blessed me with these 2 blessings and I praise and thank Him for both.
WHAT A GOD WE SERVE!!!!!!!!

How gorgeous! We had stroms last night and spent the night at my in-laws (basement) just in case it got too bad. I would rather wake up to snow than this gray wet weather we are having here. Be careful in your snow! Jennifer

We have had very little snow here this year which is unusual for us. What a blessing for you to get to enjoy a little snow of your own.

What a beautiful gift you received from your friend! I'm so happy you were blessed in this way! Wow, the snow is so pretty, especially on your patio set! I'm just kind of glad you have it and not us...lol. We had quite a bit this winter and I'm just loving these sunny days we get off and on!

Our kids are out playing in it as we speak! I told them it's a "perfect" snow: the streets and walkways are clear, it is sunny and pretty, but there is enough snow on the ground to play with and make a snowman! :-)

You enjoy your snow, Darlin'. And if you need any more come visit. It's waist deep on my 6'2" husband in the front yard.

Weird storm isn't it? We got a lot of rain and just a few flurries yesterday. Yet Springfield only 88 miles away got 7 inches!

Hello dearest Susan:-)

Isn't it so heartwarming when you receive such an unexpected gift that was given from the heart...that's what I love most about this blogging world of ours, the beautiful friendships that have been made. I've been seeing snow for the last 4 months here and I'm quite fed up with it but I can appreciate how exciting it would be for those who don't get much at all during the winter! lol Fresh fallen snow sure does look so pretty, though. Take care my friend!! xoxo

Yes, Susan, he has a 16 year old brother who has been searching since day one. He is devastated. Thanks so much, on behalf of his family, for your prayers.

Snow looks beautiful and what a thought full gift. I received one yesterday as well and it hit the spot.

I've been reading over your past posts and was drawn to the one on healing. I also believe God's will is that all would be healed. SOme tough questions out there and some tough ones asked but you answered beautifully! Thanks for being bold and courageous to tackle a hard topic. You are a wise woman!

I heard that you got some snow. It really is beautiful, isn't it?! I am always reminded of the scripture about being "white as snow" when I see a fresh blanket covering this dirty earth.

I know my TX kids love to see a bit of snow and it's kinda of a treat. I'm sure you loved seeing it too. Glad you don't have it all winter long. It does get very old. Oh well, we are on the home stretch...it's March! Woohoo!

...and you know you are a real blessing to those of us that have been able to get to know you through this unusual blogging world.

So surprised to see all that snow in your part of the woods. I guess you will enjoy it while it lasts. Here we are so much further north with not a flake all winter. Thanks to the Gulf Stream of course.
