KIDS & BLESSINGS

As parents I think we are just as thrilled with our kids being blessed, and getting something new and nice as we are for ourselves, if not more!

This is our oldest daughter, Suzette, and son-in-love, Dave with their brand new 2008 Saturn Vue. Suzette is the type who drives her cars for a long time and this is the first new car that she has purchased in years. She traded in her 1996 Camry that she had owned for 11 years.

We went over last Sunday afternoon to see it and then they drove us out to lunch. It is super deluxe with light tan leather seats and all the bells and whistles, except a sun-roof.

We are so pleased and happy for them.

As if a brand new car wasn't enough blessings for the week they also were able to get a teriffic buy on a brand new bedroom suite. They got it from an estate sale for about 1/2 the original cost and it is almost brand new.

Here is the bed. Sorry my picture is so dark,

The dresser & mirror.

One of the two nightstand and lamps.

Thanks for letting a proud mama show off her kids and their "stuff".

That is wonderful! They sound like smart kids finding such bargains and driving a car for a long time before trading it for better.

i know what you mean when you feel happy when your kids have been blessed in their lives - by a new purchase or something happening in their lives.

we visited our daughter yesterday and i was reflecting on my happiness as i left. she has a life away from me, in a nice home and homey bedroom, but she is still my daughter and i am happy for her in a way that i feel blessed.

have a great weekend, my friend.

What wonderful things they have acquired - and they sound like very smart shoppers!

My mom has a mug collection that is covering her entire dining room wall - I should send you a picture.

The elephants are on their way!

So, are you telling me that my children will move beyond hanging forks and spoons from the stairs? LOL!!!!

I know how you feel. I'm so happy every time I see Jen's new car in our driveway...and it's the color of your car :o)

As for Alicia's, it's harder due to the accident, but the Lord was faithful and she was blessed with an incredible deal.

The car looks awesome and I'm sure your daughter is having a blast driving it all over.

That looks like a nice little car - especially nice for these high gas prices!

That's exciting. I'm going to start looking for a new car as well. And I LOVE Estate Sales...you can find the BEST stuff there.

Hugs,

Gorgeous stuff! I know what you mean about being excited for our kids. When Jeremy bought his Trans Am I was very nervous about it since he was a teenager with a very fast car but the look on his face, the excitement and accompishment of working very hard for something brought a smile to my face and made my heart very happy.
