I wrote, and posted, this blog in May of 2009.  As I read it today I am aware how everything I was feeling was correct.  Shocks me this was 6 years & 4 months ago!!  This s-l-i-d-e is continuing and will be faster and faster.  If you have not made Jesus the Christ and Savior of your life I beg you to do so while you still can.  I care.
Well the "stimulus" package passed the Senate yesterday so we know it's just a matter of time before it will be signed into law. God help us.

This editorial ran in the Tul*sa Wor*ld a few days ago. I was so blown away by this I had to post it here in Blogland. It was written by J*ay Cro*nley

"A trillion is huge, any way you add it"

"Bad debt is spoiling the American scenery, trillions of dollars worth of it.

And a stimulus package is going to run almost a trillion more.

How wide?

C-notes, $100 bills, stacked side by side would circle the Earth at the equator about 39 times.

A trillion is a thousand billions,: a million millions.

A stack of $1,000 bills would reach the trillion mark 67 miles up.

Were a count to a trillion begun now, with each number taking one second to be spoken, it would take 36,888 years for the counters and their heirs and successors to reach the intended sum.

Had a million dollars been spent every day since the birth of Christ, we still wouldn't be at a trillion."

Friends, we have to WAKE UP!!!!!! THIS is what our government, our ELECTED officials., are putting on not only our shoulders but our children and grand children's. Then we don't even know if it will end there. I doubt it will.

Our world, as we have known it, is fast becoming a thing of the past. We are racing, at warp speed, into the fall of one of the greatest nations the world has ever known and certainly the greatest Christian and humanitarian nation the world has ever known.

As a Christian we have to know that we are seeing events predicted in the Word of God unfolding before our very eyes. We will soon find ourselves in a One World Government. I pray, if you have eyes to see and ears to hear, start preparing as best you can......but most of all.....keep your eyes and ears fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

Incredible isn't it? It's a terrible thing to put on our kids.

It is so true and so sad at the same time. We must do our part. I e-mail senators and the White House regularly. My hubby has called the White House twice in the last week. When we do our part then we have to rest in the Lord, he is still in control. Prophecy is being fulfilled and it can be alarming, can't it?

it sounds incredible to me, too. but what i don't know is what the solution is to our economic woes.

i trust that the [some] politicians and professional economists know best what will help our country. it doesn't seem like throwing trillions of money at the problem is the answer but if not, what is? why hasn't there been other proposals of solution.

there isn't going to be a perfect answer. for sure, we're in for some rocky times. i read somewhere that if the country hit a depression, it would be so different from the one we had some 70-80 years ago. the country and the world is such a different place and the havoc we'd see is unimagineable. maybe our government would rather throw money at the problem in light of a much worse situation.

i don't know enough to render a solid opinion. like you said, our hope and faith has to lie in our Lord and Savior. He is in control.

Amen. I agree 100%. I've been saying for sometime that we are headed for a one world government. I think the one world bank is not far off.

Susan, you speak the truth, I hope we can make our loved ones see this so they too can prepare.

Susan, I have been upset about this all week. Yes, there is a sense in which I do think they've lost their minds. What's so troubling to me is that I think we'd all agree that maybe something needs to be done, but what they've done is gone and added programs, etc. into the bill so they could push these things through and take advantage of the crisis. And a good portion of these millions are not going to things that make more jobs, but are big government programs and paybacks. I hate to be negative about so much but there is so little to be positive about anymore. Actually, my heart is grieved. Especially so, when I read an excerpt from this bill which has to do with the nationalized health care so important to our new administration. I don't even want to talk about it, it's so disturbing to me. I wish more people had gone and read this bill, but we've been rushed into it so. Our system has worked before, even as recently as the eighties when we had a bad recession. Oh well, God has His purposes and reasons in all this. He'll see us through. Actually, if you want to know the truth, America doesn't deserve His favor; we're so steeped in sin.

I heard they were at first just throwing out numbers of possibility!
I think every Congess person should have their incomes cut in half, buy used cars only, downsize their living conditions, and eat only beans&rice(like Dave Ramsey says), with no vacations!
They need to learn moderation.
I have even heard of people saying they were sending tea bags and pork rinds to them.
We need to pray for the bride of Christ to get their hearts ready and for those who are lost.
p.s.-We are praying for Oklahoma, too, after the storms.

Other than pray I have no idea what to do. Live frugally, I think is also a good place to start.
