THE "GLOBAL WARMING" ICE JUST ARRIVED IN OUR AREA!!

This is the view out my bedroom window of the ice laden trees in our front yard.

Yes, the cold and ice that has been predicted for our area for days arrived yesterday about noon. We are "suppose" to get snow on top of this today.

We are toasty warm, plenty to eat (doesn't take much when fasting :o) ), plenty of time to do what we love the most: studying God's word, watching great Dvd's by Perry Stone and others, working on The King's Kitchen ministry items (Mickey is working on a presentation he will be making in both church services Sunday and printing out "maps" for the people who will be delivering the meals), writing a Devotion on "Love" that I have been asked to give at the Young at Heart meeting February 15th and working on a script for a drama that our church will be putting on for Easter this year. All fun, exciting stuff and now this gift of extra time to get it done.

Plus looking out our windows at the beauty of the ice coated trees in our yard and Mickey chasing the squirrels off the bird feeders so the birds can get to their seed.. We are hunkered down to enjoy it all and as long as the electricity stays on we are "as snug as two bugs in a rug!

It sounds like you are really getting pounded on.
Do stay warm and safe.
Prayers to all who are without power.
I am ready for spring.

Sounds like much warmth - in many ways - inside your home! Praying you don't lose power.

You sure have had some crazy weather there this year. I can see that you got quite a bit of ice, not just a little coating.
Enjoy your day inside!

Very pretty. Looks like sparkly diamonds. Drives poorly though. Glad you are staying in.

Looks like you all may have more ice than we got. It is snowing away here.

What a view! I know you don't see that everyday. It is pretty. Glad your home safe and sound.

The artic blast just hit us today. It will be cold all weekend, but no snow or ice here.

Sounds like a good day to stay inside and work on some projects or read a good book. It reminds me though of our ice storm of 1998 that shut down parts of the state for a week or more. We didn't have power so had to go to a motel for a few days. Now we have a big generator that kicks on within a minute of losing power! Yeah! It was put to use this past week when the wind took our power out for a few hours! What a blessing to have that generator!!!!!!

Oh I love days like that! And I know how it is to be able to do all those things that you love, and might I add, important and needful things for God's kingdom. Hope you folks enjoy this extra time. We prayed for your King's Kitchen ministry in our family devotions last night--I was telling my husband all about you guys and your vitality for life and the Lord.

Please stay warm and cozy and dry. We love you, and will rest better knowing you and Mickey are safe and sound.

After all those busy days you had, sounds like you will have a something of a holiday.

The weather here has also disobeyed those hot house theories or maybe it does not attend all the meetings.

Your picture reminds me of the day after an ice storm. We were driving from Wichita Falls TX to OK City. It was really early and it was just gorgeous as the sun was glistening through the ice-laden trees (mesquite trees?).
Glad your safe and snug!
