YOUR CRITIQUE PLEASE

This is my 808th post!!!! The #8 means new beginning.

Oh my.....I just calculated how long I've been blogging (you know I have this accounting background and am always "figuring out" everything!!). I began on January 21, 2007....and counting that out just now I find that comes to 3 years....3 months....and 30 days!!! Now what are the "chances" of that?!!!! You who know me know I don't believe in "chances" but the Hand of God.

The Bible Study Group I belong to on Tuesday evenings is called Third Day Sisters!!! and the number "3" has become very symbolic to me.

Next, I googled #3 for the Bible meaning of the number and this is what I found:

Number symbolism in the Bible
By Iver Larsen

The number 3:
The number 3 in the Bible has the symbolic meaning of "divine". It is especially prominent in connection with the Trinity, but there are also many examples of how the number three symbolizes a waiting for divine intervention (Genesis 40:10-17, Exodus 10:22, 19:16, 23:17, 25:32f, Judges 7:7, Jonah 1:17, Matthew 12:48, 26:44, Acts 9:9, 10:16 2 Corinthians 12:8).

When I began my post it was with the purpose of doing a survey by asking you, my readers and followers, about the type of posts you most enjoyed. With the above information I've just shared with you this question becomes even more significant to me.

So.........I would like for you to leave me a comment telling me which type post you find the most interesting or that you enjoy the most.

These are the general categories I feel my posts fall into:

1. My family: i.e. our celebrations and participation in family events. About my kids, and grand kids..

2. My church: i.e. The King's Kitchen, my Bible study groups, other activities, conferences.

3. Our current activities: i.e. gardening, bee hives, trips, outings, friends, etc.

4. Participation in Show & Tell Friday and/or Spiritual Sunday

5. My general thoughts, feelings & opinions on age, marriage, family, frugality, etc.

6. Insights I feel God gives me from time to time.

7. Participation in Meme's

8. All of the above, and the hodge-podge that is my blog.

There are 69 of you who have signed up as "followers" and I know there are others of you who comment and read my blog but have not joined the "followers" list. I truly would like to know what each and every one of you think. You can leave an "anonymous" comment if you don't want me to know who you are. Please be honest and truthful and even tell me what you DON'T like.

THANKS, I look forward to your comments.

I have to say #8. I don't think I can pick just one, because it's all of them that make your blog what it is, and a lot of them are your interests, making you who you are!
Congrats on all those posts! I'm glad I got to know you!

I love them all! It is through the myriad of posts that I have gotten to know you and your family. I feel like you are more than just a sister in the Lord, you are a friend and my life has truly been enriched by your presence. May God bless you abundantly this day. :-D

808? WOW! 8 has always been my favorite number! :)

I subscribe to your blog via bloglines, but I don't "follow" with the blogger option.

I think my favorite posts are what your activities are - gardening, the beehives - but some of it I haven't seen people do before and I love learning about those types of things. I also enjoy your insights. And, I like to read your thoughts and feelings about money, family and marriage. As a mom of young children - I'm always looking for more tips!

I love your whole blog!

Congratulations on so many posts, Susan! That's awesome! I like variety! I recently asked that same question on my blog too!

I do like posts about family, Christian value posts, and things about home, I guess! Variety is just always good!

Have a great day, Susan!

I love your blog! Everything about it! I love the way you are real, and talk about your relationship with CHRIST, your family, your friends, etc. I like it because it's the same kind of things I post about! ;)
I love you sister!

Susan I would honestly pick #8. I don't think any one thing or interest (besides the Lord) defines us and certainly not you. I enjoy seeing a different topic when I visit.
You have so much wisdom to share no matter what your blogging about you always bring honor and praise back to the Lord. Please continue just as you have.
I love to hear what the Lord speaks thru you.

Well its not hard to decide for me #8 wins hands down, having known you for 35+ years your blogs reveal the spiritural and personal maturity that I have seen in the way you have matured/developed. Ibudf only we could all accomplish it like you seem to and I enjoy always the extra spin on family, whom I all know as they seem like an extension of my own family. You and Mickey are the first ones we turn to when we need EXTRA prayer help in whatever our need is, so just keep on doin what it is that your doin. I think your public likes it!!!! PRAISE BE TO GOD. Your loving friend. Don

I will also have to go with #8. I usually don't do memes myself but enjoy reading others.
I like reading about your life, what you are doing at home and in Church. It is the combination al all you write about that make it 'Susan's' blog. It's your life you are sharing with us.
I agree the numbers are NOT coincidence.

I would have to say my favorites are #s 5 and 6. I've said it before that I consider you a Titus 2 woman and mentor in my life, so I'm drawn to posts where you give your insights and opinions. I believe you have a heart for the Lord and faithfully seek Him. When we constantly seek His face it is reflected in our life and view on all aspects of life. So, that is why I chose those two in particular. I'm always blessed by your writing though. Good stuff! :) ~Blessings to you my friend!

Oh! I must tell you that in Chinese, the number 8 is very auspicious as it sounds like the word "prosperous" and the number 0 sounds like "lucky" or "beautiful".
Therefore, you are doubly prosperous, very lucky and pretty :) :) :)

2,3,6, and 5 in that order, LOL. I LOVE hearing about the progress of the King's Kitchen. Honestly answered :)

#8 is my favorite. Sometimes reading your posts reminds me to mix it up a bit: I just have to get that camera battery charged! : )

Congratulations on your new beginning! You are a joy and a blessing.

Number 8 for me.

I would definitely say its No. 8 for me as well, Susan. That's one of the things I love so much about your blog; it is so versatile. I think when I first started coming here, it was your Show and Tell posts that grabbed my attention, but then I started coming over to see what else you had to say and I'm glad I did! Bless you, sister, and keep pressing on in blogging!

As you may have noticed I have sworn off blogging to a degree. I was sitting there wrestling with a post one day and I happen to notice my children playing outside. It occurred to me that one day they would grow up and remember me as their dad, the one who always sat in front of the computer, I would grow up sad that I missed a large portion of their childhood.

Still I love it. I say all this to say that I no longer get around to reading or writing or writing as many posts. Also I have reduced my comments. I love the challenge of organizing and writing my thoughts no matter which of those three venues I use, but I have put limits on that. I've spent this morning in a hotel room catching up on my Google reader. I also read about the diabetic man who passed away at your church. Good article. But I digress.

I would have to say that number five is my favorite.

Thanks for blogging.

I have to say Susan that I enjoy blogs about REAL life and yours is certainly in that category.

Have no time for these 'fantasy' ones with pictures sourced from the net etc.

Honestly, I enjoy all of your posts. I enjoy your blog because it is well-rounded, a little of everything that helps me know you and Mickey better.
Now I have some catching up to do, 'cause I've been an little absent lately. IRL stuff.
Love you both!
