APRICOT BLESSING
Wednesday night at church our friend, Carmel, brought us a sack of apricots from her apricot tree!!!
The first thing I wanted to make was an apricot cobbler. After washing, pitting and slicing some I lined a pie pan.
The finished, delicious Apricot Crunch Cobbler.
And yes, as always, Mickey & I had some hot out of the oven!!! Aric was with us and he ate the crunch but didn't like the apricots :o)
About mid-way, through 3 hours simmering, as they are cooking down to jam.

OH MY GOSH.....I LOVE apricots! That made me so hungry for them looking at the pictures.
Looks Delicious!!
Your cobbler sure did look good, but I am like Aric, I would like the crunch but not the apricots.
That is one fruit I am not big on.
Have a blessed weekend.
Oh, oh, oh...I wanna bite!! Love apricot.
Never eaten cobbler, but am certain I'll be with Aric on this.
The jam a totally different story. Was thinking of bread fresh out of the oven!
Looks wonderful! Good job on not only getting the crunch made, but putting up some jam for later!
I'll bet it smelled wonderful while it was cooking down!
You made my mouth water! It must have been too delicious. It's funny, apricot jam is my favorite and I was looking for some in the store a couple of days ago and they didn't have the kind I like. I sure wish I had some of yours!
Great way to stretch all of that into something to enjoy for a long time. Yum.
You'll have to share how to make the jam. I've tried with strawberries but mine came out really runny.
♥ joy
I got a kick out of Aric liking the 'crunch"
I have never heard of a jam recipe that takes three hours of simmering. What else goes in it?
I'll be RIGHT OVER!!!! : ) Susan, had another wonderful dream of you last night, and I am suspecting it was your Third Day Ladies Bible Study. It was a wonderful retreat. But....there was no Apricot Cobbler or Jam in the dream unfortunately!
