CHRISTMAS in April???

CHRISTMAS
Has arrived for me!!
Funny thing to be saying on April 18th. Well, here's the story. Last Christmas when my daughter Suzette gave me my present, which was 2 separate packages wrapped together she said "Now Mom you have to open the packages before the card". A little odd but I thought "Ok". All my 4 kids always give me the most touching, lovely cards for Christmas, Birthday, Mother's Day, etc. and it's a big joke around our house because they know I'm always going to cry. So I figured she wanted me to wait for the card last so I wouldn't be crying. I opened the first package and it was a Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Live CD. Now I love Mannheim Steamroller and bought my first CD in 1986. I was thrilled. Then I opened the second package and it was the DVD version of Christmas Live. Oh wow, now I not only get to listen to them but I can watch them actual playing the music.
Now I get to open the card.......
Two tickets to the Fresh Air Music of
MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER

Mickey and I just returned from this WONDERFUL
performance. They did 14 numbers, took a 20 minute intermission, came back and did 10 more numbers. The crowd stood with a roaring standing ovation and they came back and did not just one, but two encore numbers. I am sooooo blessed.
I was going to post some pictures with this but blogger kept just putting up the little box with the "x" and no pictures. I hope my narrative, without pictures, portrays my joy. Thank you Dave and Suzette SOOO much.
I am still shocked!! and very delighted.

What a wonderful Christmas present to receive! We love the Mannheim Steamrollers and we have several of their CDs. I can't even imagine how great it would have been to see and hear them live. Please try to post the pictures again, if it'll work. How fun!

You guys sure do get around. I am amazed. My husband is not into the same style of music that I am. We can't ever agree and so we don't go to anything. Now that we have our new santuary at church that may help keep things close to home and familiar.

The evening sounds as if it was really amazing too. Now you can turn on the dvd every time and say "I was there live".

To you all - Yes, we live very involved lives. No rocking chairs for us. Life is too full and God is too good to sit down and not enjoy all the blessings He bestows on us. There are so many good things in this wonderful world we live in. We can choose to consentrate on the good or the evil. We choose the good and do all we know to do to combat the evil.

Susan,
I had the immense pleasure of going to a Mannheim Steamroller concert with my hubby a few years back. What an experience. They are talented musicians, aren't they?

That was such a thoughtful gift from your family. At Christmas, my sister, brother and I gave my parents tickets to Sight and Sound. (They're going soon!) If you ever get out to Pa Dutch country, you should visit this amazing live theatre. I believe you need to make reservations quite a bit in advance, but it's a place that brings your senses alive to the thrill of God's Word. We saw the production on Noah a few years back and it was amazing!
