Update to Randomized???

Tina has decided to withdraw and not participate at this time. I thought her e-mail to me was so sweet and said so much I asked her permission to share it with you. Here it is:

Hi Susan,

I am sorry but I won't be able to answer your questions. I have had so much fun meeting all the people I have through my blog, but now I have let it get to the point where I am spending too much time online. I have a husband and 5 children, and I homeschool. They are sometimes neglected because I am online. (in small ways) God has called me to this great task and I take it seriously. If I really want to be all those things I wrote in my real mum meme, I need to stay off this thing!!! My family IS my ministry. So I am going no internet for a week starting tonight before bed. And after that I will see, but at any rate, it will be very limited.
I am sorry... May God bless you!
Love,
Tina

I added photos of my mom and mother-in-law. The reason I didn't was because my scanner had problems. But after your comment I went to my brother's house and scanned them and downloaded them.
Thank you for commenting, and how neat we both spotlighted our moms on the same day! Moms are awesome.
I also feel sometimes like the home school mom, but I have a compelling need to document my life as a journal for the kids. Since the internet I can do so and be uplifted by so many all around the world, so I continue. When my children were smaller there is no way that I could have written as much. But now I write at night, or early morn. This is when I used to tidy up. Now all the children have jurisdictions to maintain so I am permitted free time.

It's all about balance isn't it? I find I am on line a little too long sometimes and I have to pray for forgiveness and be stronger the next time. I love blogging since I am homebound much of the time. This lets me interact a little more than I could otherwise. I understand the mom of 5 nad homeschooling load! God bless her for her wisdom in this. I pray we can follow her example and discipline ourselves to keep our priorities straight. Thanks for sharing Penless!

Oh that is sweet.

That is why some of my posts are meme's and are short or are just mainly about my family and our family happenings. "Because I do spend a lot of my time with my kids or babysitting or working outside the home or running to my kids activities.
I agree about what Pam said: It's all about balance.

Hi Susan -- Yes, I still plan to answer your questions (and Leigh Ann's, by the way). I just need to give my answers some thought.

I can relate with Tina except reduce my child number by 2. It can be time consuming I guess for me with no TV and living so far away it is a good way to keep in touch and an outlet for me.

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog post today! I hope to meet you someday soon.

Ah ... I think I am guilty of that too, being stuck too much to the internet that at times I just refused to get my PC out of the bag. Yup, balance is what we need.

Yes, you can sense she is a sweet lady.
I am on a blogging break too. Although I just posted a bit of an update on my blog but also plan to blog less, when I can...But I still enjoy blogging and reading other peoples blogs. All the blogs have blessed me. You have blessed me too Susan. You are so sweet. Everyone just adores ya!!! :)

Hi Susan:-) I think when we first start blogging we get so addicted to it and don't realize the time we spend on the computer. It's a bit easier for me because I have no children at home, I don't have a job and my husband & I don't do anything together...as long as I feed him he's happy! lol But, I still don't want life to go right by me while I'm on the computer so finding a balance is something we must all do!! xox

Yep. Me too. I can go without tv, but I LOVE blogging and Squidoo and writing. I've been trying to streamline and prioritize, but it's SO easy to slip up. And it's much more fun to blog-hop than to clean the toilet!

I understand the whole being online thing and balance. I usually write late at night or early in the morning. And sometimes I have to make myself walk away.

I will say that blogging has been great because I have met so many wonder like-minded Christian women and I am grateful for that.

I know I have so much moe time now to pursue writing and what not, since I am homeschooling 2 7th and 10 th graders than when I had them all little and at home. I keep in touch with two of mine through blogging and IMing.

Definitely there needs to be a balance. I confess I'm on too long sometimes to. I applaud Tina for her wisdom and faithfulness to her family.

Thanks to all 15 of you who commented. I think the conclusion is we each must know our own ability to handle any and all demands made on our lives, blogging being just one of them. There truly is no "one size fits all" and we truly are all different. We have different needs and abilities and we are in different stages in our lives. I think it is very important for each of us to allow a lot of room for everyone.
