ONE YEAR

IT'S My

ONE YEAR

BLOGOVERSARY!!!!

January 31, 2007-2008

Here's how I usually look sitting at my computer. Although, as you can see from the computer screen, Mickey caught me this time playing Spidar Solitaire.

This has been a wonderful year of the new experience of blogging. I have written about it several times before. I am so appreciative of all the wonderful friends it had afforded me. It has broadened my knowledge of other parts of the world. It has shown me how very much alike we are. And best of all for me, it has reinforced my belief in the TRUE BODY OF CHRIST.

If you've been reading my blog long you know I love Spiritual books and reading and or course I love and collect Angels.

SO!!! to celebrate I am having a drawing for this Franklin Graham book, Living Beyond the Limits, and this Angel Plaque that reads "The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord turn his face toward you, and give you peace." Number 6:24 & 26

I'm going to combine this with another feature that is currently going around Blogland.....Just leave me a comment and ask me a question, you would like for me to answer, and your name will be put in the hat. I'll draw a winner on Monday morning, February 4th.

COME CELEBRATE WITH ME!!!!
============
Tiffany has tagged me to do an Archieve Meme - since it ties in with coving my first year here goes.

When I find a new blog that I want to visit again, I rarely have enough time to go back a read everything from the beginning (although sometimes I do!). I want to get to know that person, but it's hard to commit to reading all of the posts from the last 2 years! (In my case 1 year)

This meme is designed to make some of those old posts readily available to those who may be new to your blog, or even those who are regulars, just not from the start.

Here are the rules: Go back through your archives and post the links to your five favorite blog posts that you have written. But there is a catch:

Link 1 must be about family.
Link 2 must be about friends.
Link 3 must be about yourself.
Link 4 must be about something you love.
Link 5 can be anything you choose.

Post your five links and then tag five other people. At least TWO of the people you tag must be newer acquaintances so that you get to know each other better. Readers - don’t forget to read the archive posts and leave comments!

So, here is my list:
1) Family - My Father
2) Friends - Angel #4 - Forever Friend
3) Something about me - My 100th Post
4) Something I love - Universal Body of Christ
5) Anything - Introducing Suzy Blue
The five people I select are: Katherine, Meredith, Bev, Diana, & Saija.

One Year? It seems like we have known each other forever!

C*O*N*G*R*A*T*U*L*A*T*I*O*N*S!

As for my questions, I would like to know which person you would like to sit and visit with most when you get to heaven...besides Jesus?

I've thought about finding some of my favorite posts in the past and didn't know where to begin. I like the idea of picking a post for a specific subject. I think I've read all of your posts, but it will be fun to go back and read again.

Susan,
Congratulations on your one year anniversary....isn't the world of blogging a blessing.....what is your favorite verse of scripture?

I let my blogging anniversary go by without marking it....

Thank you for the visit and sweet comment on our Lucy....we had a sweet Shitzu, Bandit, for 12 years whom we loved dearly.....Betty

Well, congratulations!! I've enjoyed getting to know you over the past few months. My question to you is, what got you hooked on the internet? My grandparents don't even own a computer, much less know how to get online. I hope you don't take offense to the question(s), but you have to admit that much of your generation is not into computers. Even if they work with computers on the job, they pretty much stick with the program they know, and don't expand to blogging! Enjoy your day, and I know you'll smile alot with all the comments you'll be getting :)

Congrats on your one year Anniversary! I am so glad that I have gotten to "meet" and "know" you!

My question for you would be....who is the one person that has had the biggest impact or influence on your life (besides Jesus....I figured that would be you ultimate answer).

OH! Jenny took my question! Hmmm... I really enjoy visiting you and am so glad we've met online and can't wait to meet in person! It's fun to have a fellow Okie bloggie buddie! I love your faith and the way you share it with everyone! So, an easy question... what's your most favorite thing to eat?

Nadine said...

Happy Blogaversary. I'll have to come back and read some of those old posts.

Oh, Oh, Oh, I play Spider Solitaire, too! It is the only game I do play - not true - I play that Chicken Dictionary game.

How much fun for you. I'm not even sure when my next blogoversary is, I should check so I can have a celebrations like this.

I'm going to start a new blog soon. Then I'll keep better track.

Hmmm... a question... If you could do anything - money not an issue - what would it be AND if someone could do it/go with you, who would it be?

I love your archive posts! You are such a great story teller! Thank you for participating- I really did learn alot about you, and we have alot in common. I'm sure it's hard to believe because I'm only 30 (well 31 on Sat.), but true! I won't share all the ways now, but I hope you'll continue to share my journey! You are a treasure and I'm glad I found you! (Smiles!) Blessings on your day!

Congrat's!

as for the questions! What's your favorite angel you've collected?

Mountain Mama said...

Congratulations on your first year of Blogging. You have really done a great Job of it and have let us all into your life so we feel as though we have known you for ages.
The question I have is, "What is the first question you will ask when you get to Heaven?"
I'll see what I can do about the Archives meme.

Tiffany said...

Thanks for your comment! I already have this book, but I'll put a question in for the angel! My mom collected angels too. She had over a hundred of them. I lost her 2 years ago today. I'm trying to write about her. As for my question... What do you feel your spiritual gifts are, and how have you been able to use them since becomming a Christian?

Kelli said...

Greetings from Canada! I just recently found your blog through Praying Karen's. I enjoyed reading your Archive Meme - especially the 100th post! What a great way to get to know a person!

My question for you is "If you could travel to anywhere in the world - where would you go?"

Nadine said...

I love the post about your dad. It was very touching.

I've asked this question before of others because I find it interesting. If there were such a thing as a time machine and you can go anywhere in time, where would you go?

Momma Roar said...

Congratulations - can you believe it has been a year since we have connected? (give or take a few days)

I just love the picture of you at the computer - now I will picture that when I read your posts and emails!

My question: Who is your favorite blogger?

(hahaha, just kidding)

Seriously, is there one thing that blogging taught you that you didn't think you'd learn through blogging? (I pray that makes sense) :)

Susan,

How fun. Thank you for choosing me to do this. I really appreciate it and I will happily participate. Like you, I do not always get in all the reading I want to on a new blog I have found, but I sure do want to.

Congrats on your year! Blogland has been enriched with you in the neighborhood!

Happy Anniversary, Susan! I am certainly one of those many friends who is so thankful to have met you in blogland! And my mother is totally addicted to Spider solitaire too.

I was drawn to your blog because of the clever title. I kept reading because of you. RYC...A question...Do you really think when we get to Heaven that we'll even ask any questions?

My thought is we will be so in awe that we will forget everything we ever thought we'd ask. ;)

Blessings!

Congratulations! You have achieved SO MUCH in one year, bloggerly speaking :)

I love the picture of you at the PC. Hmmm ... I might just get Calvin to take a picture of me doing the same - and playing Spider Solitaire too! which I am SERIOUSLY addicted to - but I play it in my phone, when I am waiting and before going to sleep - it helps me wind down and puts me to sleep.

Maybe you could start a meme with that picture. Send it to 6 and the 6 are to post the same picture of sitting at their pc and I don't have to tell you what will happen after that ;)

pearlie said...

Oh, and now I want to start the meme! And I will tag you and link you as well ;)

Happy Blog Anniversary! Yes, blogging is such fun and a great blessing too!

My question is: "When you were a little girl, did you ever wish you had a different first name? And if so, what was the name?"

Now this is coming from another Susan mind you. When I was eight, I wanted to change my name to Crystal. These days I'm very happy to be plain old Susan!

pearlie said...

I don't really have a question :) because I'd have to ask one that is THE question and spend forever perfecting it but here goes:
If there is one question to ask me, what would it be? Haha ... just kidding.

OK, this one:
If you can bring one thing to heaven to be given away, what will it be?

Oh boy ... it took me so long to think up the question. I should think some more but I am letting it go!

Happy 1st Anniversary. The year has gone by so fast hasn't it? Oooh I would like to ask you about your ancestors, in as much as where did your family come from, prior to America. I love hearing the stories of the families who left their countries and moved to America - I would love to hear yours too.

Susan,

I am here at the end and don't want to be entered. Please keep me out of the "drawing", K?

But, I saw your comment on pen of jen and wanted to wish you happy one year!

The award you created for LA is so fitting and wonderful.

These posts here reflect the beautiful heart God has given you to love others.

I would love to know though...the one book (bible excluded) that you would recommend to others if you had to pick one. (just curious)

Happy anniversary Susan!

o.k. Susan, here's my question:
Out of all the places you have traveled in and out of the USA...what experience...on one of your trips...made your jaw drop and your heart become a puddle of compassion?
does that sound corny?....oh, well... :o)

Barbara said...

Just as I came to visit you have your anniversary giveaway. Who wouldhave believed that blogging would become such a wonderful hobby.
I have been to Franklin Graham's huse but never read any of his books, only his Fathers.
Now to a question Susan - this is difficult as I know so much about you from blogs and E-mails. Still I'll have a try and if you have already answered thi somewhere then count it a senior moment.
Which well known live person would you like to invite to dinner and why. There I did it.

Susan,

CONGRATULATIONS on one year!

I have loved your blog and been SO encouraged by your love for God. Thank you for sharing so much of your heart with us!

I'm at home now...as you know...recovering from the birth of our newest little one! SO, I missed your drawing...BUT, there is a question I'd love to ask you...

Can you share a trial in your life where you saw God's grace SO clearly as He brought you through?
