PENLESS WRITER'S ANNUAL AWARDS

When it rains it pour!!!! I am posting 3 blogs today. Please scroll down and read them all.
The first is 2 annual awards I am giving out today to celebrate my 1 year blogoversary yesterday
The second is about a scholarship to a wonderful women's conference
And then third is Friday's Show & Tell, which I always try and participate in.
Thanks!!!
========================================
As I begin my second year of blogging I have created two Personal Awards.

This first award is my Littlest Angel

(Go here to read the history of Littlest Angel)

I am presenting this award to Leigh Ann of Living to Learn and Learning to Live.

Leigh Ann was the very first blogger that I became friends with. Ironically, she had just begun her blog 2 days before me. We met when she left me a comment on my third post "A Very Special Occasion". A young, 32 year old mother of 3 small children from Pennsylvania, and this 69 year old grandmother of 3 from Oklahoma formed an instant bond. An unlikely combination but one that God put together.

Leigh Ann gets my Littlest Angel Award because she has truly been an Angel to me during my first year. SHE is the one who helped me FINALLY figure out bloglines and SHE is the one who executed the design of my blogpage. I had the idea, and knew what I wanted, but had no idea HOW to get it done. Leigh Ann not only knew how but did!! She has always been patient, kind and supportive when I have needed her help.

You have a very special place in my heart Leigh Ann.

My second award is True to HIS Word

I am presenting this award to Karen of Karen's Ramblings

I had been blogging for 6 months before I met Karen. The "link" was Annie, My Life As Annie, who had blessed several of us with her Siggy's. Karen and I were two of those. Karen linked to my blog and left a comment. Of course I found her wonderful blog and was hooked. Karen lives 1/2 a world away in New Zealand. That in itself is so very amazing to me.

Choosing who to give this award was a VERY hard decision for me. I am blessed to read the blogs of so many wonderful Spiritual Christians who bless me, stretch me, and teach me.

Karen is the one that truly fits this scripture in my life.

"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend" Proverbs 22:17

Karen has truly become a friend and boy does she ever sharpen me!!!! Her posts are full of Spiritual insight, total openness, stretching and searching for more of God.

You are indeed a gift from God to me, Karen.

I'm sorry I don't know Karen, but if she is a friend of yours, she is a friend of mine!

LeighAnn is a treasure to both of us. She really has changed our lives for the better.

Great job Susan!

Wow, Susan I am deeply honoured because I have such a respect and honouring for all that God has placed in you - and I see my flaws and weaknesses. God is so good. Thank you my friend for this great blessing. I am thrilled to bits.

Oh Susan, you have made my eyes tear up. This was so sweet of you. You know that I've always loved our emails and working together on your blog design was so fun - it even got us on the phone together when I thougth I had deleted some things - HA!

Thank you for blessing me with your emails, your abundant wisdom and love, and for this award - you hold a very special place in my heart as well!

Those awards are so neat. Did you make those, Susan? They look like they may have been made by you. I am really wanting to learn how to make award buttons and other buttons. I don't even know how to start learning. Can you tell me what I need to purchase in order to learn to do all this? How did you learn?

Thanks, Susan

Congrats on winning Momma Roar's giveaway! I just sat and smiled from ear to ear as Quintin read your name. Wasn't that just the cutest?! Enjoy your gift and think of poor old me never having the chance to taste this chocolate we've heard about. I guess if I couldn't win, you would surely be my next in line.

Sweets for the sweet! How appropriate.
