SHOW & TELL '08 - #12 - Stained Glass - Blue

Well it's Show & Tell Friday again. I must admit it felt a little strange last week not to be doing Show & Tell on Friday. Be sure and select something to show and tell, then go over to Kelli's and list in on Mr. Linky. Then be sure and visit the other's listed and see all the neat things that are shown.

On Show & Tell #10 (here) I showed a piece of Pink stained glass that I have had for about 23 years. Today I am showing a Blue stained glass piece that we purchased in Mexico in 2004. We originally purchased it for the window of the door in our 5th wheel while we were traveling. Blue has always been my favorite colot and I really like this blue Peacock. I did have it hanging in my living room on the patio door but since I got my French Doors I have moved it into the window of our guest bedroom.

Thanks for visiting today and letting me show you another item that we display in our little home.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, pretty. So so pretty. I wish I could have this kind of art hanging around [I've always wanted a stained glassed front door!!] But, with cats jumping in the window sills...I can just see it now...a stained glass worked floor...in broken bits!!!

Please do drop by. I'm sharing a bit of Gone With the Wind today.

Blue is my favorite color. I love
the peacock stained glass. you found a great place to put it.
I didn't see the Chipmunk Movie
but my tween daughter did. See
thought the movie was funny. She
also thinks record albums are really OLD! I guess that makes
me OLD too! LOL

This is quite pretty! I drive by peacocks on my way to work, and I love it when one of them decides to strut his stuff next to the freeway. He's just so beautiful.

Dear Susan!

I hope you are doing fine (I'll let you have a piece of news from me again very soon!)!

Your blue peacock is very special indeed, I just enlarged your photos and admired it in detail!

I will attend a pottery workshop tomorrow, I am so much looking forward to it! We will be making our own pottery all day long and I am sure we will have lots of fun!

And I am already looking forward to showing the result on one of the next S&T's!

Warmes wishes,
Anita

That is so beautiful - the peacock looks as if he is wearing a crown of holly berries, with mistletoe berries in his tail.

That is beautiful. You know, I've given a thought or two to collecting peacocks. I do have some feathers. I just think they are fantastic.

I lovely piece, I like those shades of blue.

You did a good job with the painting. Can see it must have been a backbreaking work. Looking forward seeing what happens in the kitchen.

It is such a beautiful peacock. God showed a friend of mine once a peacock and said to her usually a peacock walks and lives in the garden of the king to beautify the garden with its colours. You are like that Susan - with the beauty of your colours you are a beautiful "decoration of value" in the garden of the King.

Tried to do this earlier but Blogger wouldn't let me.

But I am here NOW!! Love the stained glass. I have an old church window in my bathroom and I love Tiffany Style lamps. I would love a REAL Tiffany lamp one day, but if that doesn't happen, that's OK too!

Come by today if you get a chance - I have a Birthday Girl!!

love stained glass, my favorite is church windows and I have always wanted to make a window to give to the church. My husband and I have taken a class, I am thinking I would need more than one though to make something worthy of Gods house! I do love the peacock with all the beautiful blues. I have a few hanging stained glass windows and I never get tired of looking at them:>)
