THIS & THAT: David, Weather, House of Prayer
Several of you have asked me how David is doing. I am glad to report David is doing very well!!! His job is going super and he just recently volunteered to work a 4 to midnight shift for 6 months. He loves it and he gets a 10% pay bonus for doing so. That is one of the reasons he agreed to take it.
Those hours work much better for him, as he's always been a night owl. What we love about it is that he has started coming over every morning to see his father before he leaves for work at 9:30 and then he and I sit and talk for an hour to an hour and 1/2 (sometimes 2!!!). One of the reasons my blogging has been a little scarce lately :o) David and I love to talk: about the Bible, about his childhood, about his upbringing, about psychology, about woman and on and on. He has an amazing IQ and I am always astonished that he is my son!!! He told me this morning he was thinking about trying to get back to blogging and I hope he will because he really has so much to give and to share. I've said it before, and I'll say it again........God has a great plan for my son. He ran from it for years and it is the joy of my heart to sit and watch God working in his life and seeing him transforming before my eyes. Actually, transforming is not the correct word........what we are seeing is the true, real David coming back to life. Sort of like the dry bones in Ezekiel.

RAIN we have had rain, rain and more rain. Two days last week on Wednesday & Thursday we had 5" each day. A total of 10". On Thursday the flooding was so bad that Highway 51, which runs through Coweta, was shut down at both ends. I had to pick my grandson up from school in Tulsa that day and I barely made it through before they closed the highway. Then Tuesday night we had 4" of rain, and tornado warnings and watches all night. Needless to say we got little sleep. Then last night another 5+" of rain but luckily no tornado watches in our immediate area. They actually closed ALL the schools in our area today because of the flooding. We are high enough we don't get flooded but we sure have soggy front and back yards. Now today we are having very high winds blowing and more bad weather for the remainder of the week.
"I" truthfully think the extreme weather we are having, literally around the world, has much to do with what God is doing and preparing to do. I am viewing and seeing all the physical rain that we are having as a token of the Lord pouring out His Spirit as prophesied as the Later Rains.
In conjunction with the physical rain we are having wonderful things moving and happening in the establishing of the 24 hour Remnant House of Prayer that we are involved with!!!! I will write a lot about this at a little later date......just let me say, "God is up to something" and we are so excited. God is so good and I love Him SOOOO.

We have been getting tons of rain too. We had a speaker at church last week (revival) talking about that too. It was really interesting how she put dates together...dates that our president influenced Israel to give away land for peace coinciding with dates of disasters in the US... repeatedly.
Have you figured out a day to come visit?
How wonderful to hear that David is doing so well and I've no doubt you are enjoying his company in the mornings:-) I get such a happy feeling in my heart for you, knowing that the real David is back!!
Oh dear, now that is a lot of rain! We had some too but just a few downpours. It's helped get rid of a lot of our snow but now we have a snowstorm warning in effect so goodness knows what we'll wake up to tomorrow morning! xox
You are such a source of inspiration to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I think of you when I see the news of OK. Glad to hear about David!
And AMEN God is so Good!
I love what you said about your son. I am so proud of my son too, but he is still young and has a long way to go with regards to working for the Lord. I trust one day he will be on fire for God.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
In Him,
Nancy
g;ad to hear things are going pretty well right now. it makes my heart smile to picture you sitting with your son and talking about anything and everything. i hope that's the way it will be for me when my son is an adult.
Ah, those dry bones :) So good to hear about your dear son. I too was wondering how he was doing. Thanks for sharing. And about that rain, yes, I heard you all were getting hit hard out there. Yes, those end times are coming. I'm looking forward to the Lord's return!
I tagged you Susan(soosan!)
Glad David is doing so well! Isn't all this rain something? I am waiting for Old Noah to come by with the ark at any time!
Glad to hear David is doing well.
Send some of that rain this way. We could use a bunch to ward off forest fires this summer!
ooooh I'm so excited too! Thank-you for your kind words on my blog. I just wanted to come by and through tears tell you goodbye for a short time and to let you know that I have my give away that I'm hosting up and running if you'd like to join us. BIG HUGS Susan, I love you dearly and I'll be praying for you!
you are right! God IS up to something!
Such great news about David. I know you are really enjoying those talks and time spent together.
I saw clips of what the tornadoes did in Texas and that another storm front was moving through Ok. I instantly thought of my dear blogging friend, Susan. I'm so glad God has kept you in the palm of HIS hand, safe and sound.
Yes. God is still in business! I think many want to excuse HIM from their world view. Thankfully, there are those of us who are maintaining our Biblical worldview!
What a wonderful post to read this morning - makes me excited to start my day - like it energized me!
Thanks for sharing how God is moving in your lives and at your church!!
Glad to hear that you are ok....I was worried when I saw the news and thought that was your area all the tornados were in.
How fun to have a grown son just sit and visit with you....I am hoping mine will do the same after he leaves the nest.
