SHOW & TELL #20 - Mother's Day Card

It's Friday again which means Show & Tell time at Kelli's. Be sure and go here and learn all about it. Select something to Show & Tell about, post your name on Mr. Linky and then enjoy the fun of seeing what other really neat things people are showing.

What I am showing today is something that truly touched my heart. It is a Mother's Day Card that my grandson, Aric, made for me at school. This card is so very precious to me.

Here is the front of the card. I just LOVE the adjectives he chose for me: nice - quiet - peaceful (he misspelled it!) - sweet - old - gives kisses - gives hugs.

When I was reading it and came to "old" he said "I'm sorry grandma!". I said, "Nothing to be sorry about, Aric, I am old!".

This is the inside of the card.

This is the back of the card and he was sure to point out to me to turn the card over and see the back as he was describing to me it was a cloud raining hearts.

Every grandmother out there, and even you younger mother's, have to know how very touched I was that he thought of me for this card.

Thanks for your comments. My husband used to say if a marriage could survive a long lay-off or wallpapering together it was a good one.

A wonderful card! Such a sweet response to being called old. I remember knowing that my Grandma was old, but it was not derogatory, it was just part of her.

That is really sweet. It is so hard to explain to people why grandchildren are so much of a blessing. I just light up when mine come in the house.

One time Olivia(age 2) said, "Nana, your hair is so beautiful!" and I just melted. Grandchildren don't see your flaws so much.

Thanks for sharing. That is truly a treasure as is your grandson.
