Comment Notification

After blogging for 26 months I had to put comment notification on my blog.
Why?
Because I had 35 anonymous comments on my blog this morning.
ALL span of some kind with a Chinese or Japanese language.
I truthfully don't know the difference.
Have any of the other of you had to deal with this type situation?

I had a couple of these several weeks ago and thought it was just a fluke.

Apparently not.

Whom ever you are....I will not be intimidated.

Yes Penless I'm afraid there has been an epidemic of these oriental spammers around the blogosphere recently. They mostly lead to some quite disgusting sites.

No problems on my blog. That is amazing isn't it? Wow! Well, I don't mind the extra step. You're worth it :)

So sorry that happened Susan. Do you allow anonymous comments? Once I changed from that, most of my spam went away..

Susie is right. I haven't had that problem yet, but went on moderation when I started talking about the election last fall. Talking politics tends to bring out the worst in people, so I didn't want to have to deal with all kinds of meanness and vulgarity showing up on my blog before I could get there to delete it. I would imagine that allowing anonomous still would allow those spammers to bug you and you'd have to keep rejecting their comments. Well, wait and see what happens.

That stinks. I haven't had any problems so far.

No problems of that happening so far, but I have heard others say they had that problem.

Ya, I received it too from your side with one of the posts I was following. Hope there are no more coming for you. I get it once in awhile. But I am still on no moderation or word verification until absolutely necessary.

God bless!
