PUMP-UP YOUR LIFE - One Day Seminar

I just spent one of the most enjoyable days this snowy day (yes we had snow today...brr) at this One-Day Seminar that the woman's group at our church put on. The event was from 8:30 to 2:00 and we had 4 Break-out Sessions. Each Session had 3 programs to choose from. That was the hard part.....only getting to be in 4 of the 12 selections :o(
I tried to take photo's of the program but they turned out so small I'll just list the schedule:
8:30-8:50 - Muffins & beverages in Jehovah Java Shop
8:50-9:00 - Welcome in the Youth Chapel
9:10-9:50 - Session #1 - Pump Up Your Prayer Life
Pump Up Your Physique (health & body)
Pump Up Your Parenting (tips & advice)
10:00-10:40 - Session #2 - Pump Up Your Praise & Worship
Pump Up Your Personal Times (Devotion & "me" time)
Pump Up Your Marriage Partnership I was privileged to speak
10:50-11:30 - Session #3 - Pump Up Your Purpose in Fasting
Pump Up Your Appearance
Pump Up Your Purchasing (thrifty ideas)
11:40-12:20 - Session #4 - Pump Up Your Potential through Bible Study
Pump Up Your Phases in Life (menopause & life changes)
Pump Up Your Presents/Presence (gifts & self-esteem)
12:30-2:00 - Lunch - Door Prizes & Makeover Reveal - Special Speaker: Tonya Rohr, Well-known Christian Speaker/Comedian (The lunch was delicious!)
The 4 sessions I chose to attend were #1 Your Prayer Life - #2 Your Marriage Partnership (since I spoke!) - #3 Your Purpose in Fasting - #4 Your Potential Through Bible Study.
It was ALL fantastic. I love, LOVE, LOVE, the local church God has seen fit to place Mickey & I in at this time in our life.
I was so happy to see so many young and younger woman sign up for the class I did on marriage. I had many who came up to me later and thanked me. I had ask for prayer covering from my prayer blog several weeks ago when I was asked to speak. I had written out what I planned to say, and had "rehearsed" to Mickey several times during the week.....but you know what.....I just spoke what the Lord put on my heart as I began, so much for the preparation !!! Of course we always want to be lead by The Holy Spirit.
The young woman who taught the class I attended on Fasting was awesome. I am just so proud of the woman in our church and what God is doing in all areas of our body.
We had a total of about 80 woman and with the snow that was really a good number who showed up. Us Okie's don't do snow very well!!!
I took my camera but the pictures did not turn out well enough to post :o(

Sounds like a wonderful day - all those topics are things that can always use pumping up!
I'm glad you allowed yourself to speak what the Spirit led you to say.

Sounds like your church has some very interesting seminars. I would have liked to hear what you had to say. Thankful always for the Holy Spirits prompting for sure.

How fun those are. Was this something your church put on and invited the guest speaker, or is it a special program?
I would've loved to hear you speak.

Wish I could have been there, Susan, to hear your wonderful teaching message and attend the event. It sounds so great.

Brenda, It was a program put on by the Woman's group at our church. All the speakers, with the exception of the guest speaker, were woman from our body. That is why I am so extremely proud of our Body.

To Mari, Nancy, Brenda & Jillian -
Boy, how I would love for us all to be able to have a meeting like this with our Blogland friends. Can you imagine what fun that would be?

You were great today! I told Kevin last week that you should do the marriage session and you did!!! I only wish every married woman could have heard what you and Debbie had to say. It was valuable info for wives. Love you!

With or without pictures, I can still imagine what it must have been like. It sounds like so much fun and I would have wanted to go to( especially because you were speaking!). I hope your class goes well. And I am glad that you got lunch to. I know I would not have made it without food. Neither would have my brothers. Our church has some fun things like that too. I guess that is the way tho get young people motivated. Have a good weekend and tell Mickey I said hi. You guys have been in my thoughts.

What a nice feeling to have your speaking go well. Even though you may not have used all the preparation, I'm sure it gave you confidence.

I'm glad God blessed you with a great day!

That sounds like a great gathering with a wonderful theme. I can see why so many women braved even the snow to attend. Blessings and even beyond all you and Mickey could ask or imagine in the years He has yet for you two.
