ONE WEEK FROM TODAY

Are you aware: This rally will be taking place on the Washington Mall 1 week from today?

I am all for the right for free assembly in our nation. It is one of the liberties bestowed on us as citizens of the United States. I just want to be sure everyone is aware this is taking place.

I do find it interesting that for the first time in many years President Obama did not observe The National Day of Prayer on May 6th this year in the White House. Go here for Washington Times article.

The Athan will be chanted on Capitol Hill, echoing off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill

I knew that President Obama didn't take part in National Day of Prayer this year - very sad.
I agree with the right to assemble too, but I find this kind of scary.

Oh dear, oh dear. I just don't know what to say anymore. And to think conservatives have had to endure all of this ongoing slander for daring to protest the direction of our government last Saturday. We are in deep, deep trouble. But the God of the Bible, The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who made the heavens and the earth, is on the throne.

I am not saying He is on the side of Republicans vs. Democrats, liberals vs. conservatives, blacks vs. white (or vice versa on each, lest anyone accuses me of favoring God towards one side. You know, you have to be so careful that you don't say anything in a way that can be interpreted wrongly. Sorry for this, but I've had it this week with all this foolishness going around.) But I DO say this: He is on the side of believers vs. unbelievers. That much I do know.

Hi Susan, found you by way of a couple of blogs. I heard about this a week or so ago, and as shocking as it is, I'm not surprised. I'm seeing advertisements on the sides of buses in our area, giving info on Islam, with phone numbers, and websites. Like it or not, our nation is changing, our foundation is slipping, and we are hated by many, but we must remember that God's perfect love cast our all fear. I have to dig deep at times to find God's love in my heart, but now might be the most important time to do so.

God bless,
Mary

Oh how terrible a day for our country... a country (as a whole) that denies the true God, our Lord Jesus Christ will not stand...

Psalm 2:1-5 "Why do the nations rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel against the LORD, and against his anointed saying, Let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us. He who sitteth in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak to them in his wrath, and vex them with his sore displeasure."

Look what God did to the nation of Israel in the days of Daniel prophesied by Jeremiah.

Oh No. I didn't know about this. Many brave Americans shed their life's blood for these people to have the right to assemble.
But I pray no one will be pulled into this gathering that is being portrayed as a place to form friendships.
Let's see how much the media covers this one.

And I am sure our liberal-loving national media will make a big deal about it and think it's just wonderful.

I support free speech as a right we all have. But this is "flaunting it" in my view. When we flaunt something before, and therefore mock God, we can expect His reply in one fashion or another. He will not be mocked. At some point there will be an event that tips the scales and the greater corrective judgement will come. He is patient, and He's God. He's God and He's patient. God did not abdicate His Lordship and His Fatherly heart when He brought the new Covenant of the blood of Jesus. He is still Father, and He disciplines the ones that He loves. Wow, this is incredible and brings a great cause to pray.

I did not know about this but I'm reminded that this country was birthed through our Judeo-Christian roots and our roots are deep.

The root has to be pulled up before anything else can be planted in its place and as long as there are Christians being nourished by that root, nothing else can be planted.

I pray for confusion during that rally and for the TRUE God of peace to be established in that place. I'll be praying especially about this rally Friday.
