Random Dozen #1

I've seen this Random Dozen around several times and decided to participate today. It is sponsored by Second Cup of Coffee.

1. On an average, how often do you splurge and buy something for yourself? Not too often as that is not where my interest is.

2. Are you more like Hall or Oates? Just kidding. Real question: What is the last creative project you began/finished? Feel free to post a pic of it. I don't know that creative would describe it but we redid the paint and wall paper in our kitchen & dining area last year.

3. OK, Goldie Locks, do you consider your house too big, too little or juuuust right? It truly is "just right" for the 2 of us EXCEPT when I entertain and then I wish my dining area were larger.

4. What is your favorite outdoor chore? I enjoy hanging clothes on my clothes line and believe it or not I enjoy weeding......once in awhile!!!

5. If you knew that cigarette smoking was not bad for your health but would be a weight loss tool, would you use it? Why or why not? NO. I need to lose weight but that would never be a choice for me at this point in my life, although I did smoke when younger.

6. On a road trip, would you rather drive or ride? In the RV I never drove and my husband always did but in the car I enjoy driving and do most of the driving these days.

7. What do you consider a trivial pursuit? Playing Spyder Solitaire

8. This weekend, we downloaded the movie "Duplicity" with Julia Roberts and Clive Owen. Within 5 minutes, I was bored and annoyed, but I kept watching 5-10 minutes at a time hoping it would get better between small chores. I finally gave up and Jorge watched it alone, and then regretted wasting that time because he disliked it intensely, too. So ... how long do you watch a movie or read a book before giving up on it? I am not a movie person so that is an almost never watch but I have finished most every book I have ever started.

9. Is there a song that you really love but are embarrassed to admit because it's not cool or it's racy or because it's by Hall and Oates? No, can't think of one.

10. On a scale of 1-10 (10 = extremely) how spontaneous are you? Very spontaneous so probably a 9.

11. Are you a food and/or beverage snob? No.

12. Who/What are you trying to control in your life? (I hear people gulping and see them sweating in anticipation of how to answer this one.) I use to try and control my children but now that they are all adults I truly do not try and control anyone. I just work to keep myself in check.

Well, I think after doing this that I am pretty boring!!! but I am happy and very content with my life.

I am so very far behind on my visiting and writing, but trying to catch up tonight.

Exciting news - I finally made my reservations for the trip to the reunion. I'll be coming on Thursday, the 5th, staying till Monday the 9th. I'll be renting a car, so hopefully we can work out something on that Friday before the festivities begin. What do you think?

I like your answer to number 12. Controlling ourselves! I need to work more on that.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. I still read yours, I just have so little time to comment these days. Your life doesn´t seem boring to me, you have more going on in the week than I do.
Great post and I´ll see you here next Wednesday! :)

I think redecorating is VERY creative - it's one of my favorite forms of expression actually! Not one I get to do TOO often - but when I do, I thoroughly enjoy it!

Ohhhhh I DID used to enjoy hanging my clothes out on the line! I WISH I had my clothes line back... That IS a great outdoor chore! And today is the perfect WINDY day for it too!

Great answers! You're not a bit boring!
