THEY MADE IT

The tables were set and waiting......and waiting.....and waiting. Christmas Day arrived and WE waited and we got out all the food prepared the day before and re-heated everything as best we could.

THEY weathered the drive over the icy and snow packed very slick roads & highways.

But they all finally made it and who cares it's 20 hours late...."let the party begin"!!

Seated Suzette & Dave, standing Marc.

Our two sons, David & Marc. Me pulling the re-heated (slightly over done!!!) enchilada's & burritos out of the oven. Served buffet style.

Grandson Aric.

Granddaughter Oksana.

Mickey, Oksana, Marc, Aric, David, Suzette & Dave pouring the sparking grape juice.

Benny & Jacque.

Granddaughter, Jessica & Josh. I failed to get pictures of the cupcakes Jessica & Josh made :o( Each was decorated with a different top: snowman, angel, etc. So cute and they were confetti type white cake.

Mickey, Jessica, Josh, Benny & Jacque.

A very happy wife, mom, grandmother & birthday girl toasting my wonderful family. I received lovely gifts and those cards that always make me cry. I was so touched by some of them I'm going to do a separate post about them!!!
I love my family and we were so thankful David made it in from California to share Christmas & my 72nd birthday.
I don't FEEL 72!!!!!!!

Happy Beautiful Birthday, Susan, and a Merry Christmas to you and your family. The love in your home pops right through in every picture, and I can just imagine the joy that bubbles up when you all are together. You are a loving and prayerful Wife and Mother, and I know the Lord is blessing that. I love these photos. You are a beautiful 72!

What a wonderful Birthday to celebrate yours and our Saviors together with family.

You may be 72 but your personality has not aged it's still very young and that's why we all love you so much here at our Bible Study. You still act like a young, spirit-filled and enthusiastic Christian woman.

Such a lovely table you set sweetie. I don't think of you as 72. Age of the body doesn't really matter, it is the beauty of the spirit shining through that matters! We are hoping to come see you guys in the spring. Love and huggles.

Oh my you must have gotten the storm that we were supposed to get. I don't know where you live but here in New England we were supposed to get another really bad storm and we didn't even get a half inch! So glad all your family made it to your place safely and I'm sure everything tasted wonderful even though a day later!

Happy belated birthday to you, you don't look your age and I'm sure you don't feel it either. What a wonderful day to share a birthday with our Lord and Savior! I suppose you didn't like having a Christmas birthday when you were a child! My niece has a birthday on the 21st and she has always hated that it was so close to Christmas and didn't want any of her bithday gifts wrapped in Christmas paper! lol!

Susan, You asked about the sleigh on my window sill. It's made of acrylic and was a gift from my daughter a few years ago. I'm so glad you like it.

Glad your family all made it. Our TV showed the weathr in Oklahoma and we immediately thought of you.

Facebook - well after only a few weeks I am beginning to have second thoughts. It is the time factor but I will wait a while before making a decision. I do not want it to detract from my b log.
