CELEBRATING THE 4th

NO PICTURES!!!!!!! Arggggg......I took the camera but it wasn't charged.......or well such is life and it certainly didn't mar a WONDERFUL time.

First, after our Wednesday night Church services we had a time of celebration. Ice cream and then a wonderful, BIG fireworks display. It was so lovely sitting out behind the church sharing this time of fun and fellowship with our body. Aric was with it and that was great.

The 4th was a lovely, lazy day. Our friends, Don & Barbara, called and wanted to know if we wanted to join them in going out for pizza for lunch. They drove out here to Coweta and we had a delightful lunch and visit with them. Nothing like dear special friends!!!

Speaking of friends.......we are being good friends and have been "dog sitting" with Baron, our friends Jack & Mary's dog for 13 days as they celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Alaska.

We did not have our family 4th celebration until 7 last night because our daughter, Jacque, had to work. Walgreens pharmacy never closes!!!!

Anyway, our daughter, Suzette, hosted the event and it was grand. All 12 of us were present and everyone accounted for except our 22 year old granddaughter, Jessica, who had to work!! People like to eat out on the 4th so no day off for her and she was on the late shift.

Son-in-love, Dave, smoked 2 pork loin and it was melt in your mouth good. Suzette then fixed baked beans, potato salad, sliced cantaloupe. I brought deviled eggs. Jacque & Benny brought orange jello with carrots salad and banana pudding. Marc brought soda pop and Oksana fixed the Simple as Pie dessert for us.

Delicious meal and such a nice time just sitting outside in their lovely patio and visiting. After it got dark we could see fireworks going off all around us. We actually stayed until 10:15.......late for Mickey and I. Even the 40 minute drive home was enjoyable because fireworks were going off the entire drive home.

We love our family!!!!! We are so thankful to have all 4 of our children right here in the Tulsa area and get to celebrate all these special times together. Next will be Marc's birthday on August 2nd!!!!

GENERATION OF VALOR

This picture is worth 100 Million Words

We truly take a lot for granted.

Forget the football "heroes" and movie "stars"...

This is the price of freedom!

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,

Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.

One died for your soul

The other died for your freedom.

May we remember as we celebrate the 4th of July.

IN GOD WE TRUST - By Paul Harvey

HOORAY, HOORAY, HOORAY for Paul Harvey. I myself have been grumbling and wondering how a handful of people have been able to take our right to pray in public places away from us. So, agreeing with Paul, I GLADLY say, Folks, this is the Month that we RE-TAKE AMERICA

**********Get Ready**********
This is the United State of America, a country founded on Christian principles. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations. Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying. God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me. The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn't care what they want.
It is time that the majority rules!

It's time we tell them, You don't have to pray; you don't have to say the Ledge of Allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back and we WILL WIN!

God bless us one and all...
Especially those who worship Him, God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all. God bless our military who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God. Let's make 2008 the yest the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions...And our military forces come home from all the wars. Keep looking up.
**********

I know this has been around before but as we are approaching July 4th and our celebrating of the Independence of Our Great Country let's renew this stand one and all.
