BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER

Seeing my sheets freshly washed, in my home made laundry soap, hanging on my new clothesline in my backyard is a thing of beauty to me!!!

Remember, last time when I showed the spilled bucket and the clothespins all over the grass because the clothespin did not hold the bucket on the line? Well my sweet, and always thinking of a solution,

husband bought and attached a latch hook onto the handle. It holds firm and slides along the line and works perfectly.

Another thing of beauty to me is these new items I just purchased for my healthier cooking projects. 3 new teflon skillets of various sizes. I only had one large stainless steel skillet. Red Toasted Bell Peppers, Curry Powder, Spiced Apple Butter, Molasses, Red Wine Vinegar & White Cooking Wine. What fun.

Large quanity of cleaning supplies: Cidar Vinegar, Baking Sode & White Vinegar. Not really a think of beauty but very useful & frugal.

Life is fun!!!!

I agree - sheets hung on the clothes line are the best! And the smell is amazing! I love pushing my face into the sheets and breathing deeply after they've come off the line. Aaaahhhh!

Oh I really do long for those fresh sheets on my bed.

I still struggle with the cleaning supplies. The white vinegar works, but I miss the nice smells of other products.

How does the laundry soap smell? Do you need to add something to make it give your laundry a fresh smell?

Isn't it amazing how getting back to basics can make one feel so good. I'm happy for you. You may have to make one of those old fashioned clothes pin bags. I remember we always had one made on a wooden clothes hanger. They worked great.

I love those sheets on your line! And what a great idea for the clothes pin bucket! I "shampoo" my couches with white vinegar. It works well and it is all I have used for years! How did your home made soap workout?
Good Job!

I started hanging mine out some too. It is therapeutic isn't it? I am usually out fairly early and the sounds I have been missing because of the loud air conditioners is just beautiful. The little boys love to help so I keep one of the lines low.

Oh how I love a clothesline!!! I can almost smell the sweet fragrance of line dried sheets too. Isn't that sweet of your hubby to find a way to hold your clothespins securely to the line.
I hope you have fun cooking with the new ingredients. I need to get some white wine vinegar for a salad dresing I want to try. Thanks for the reminder.

Love your clothesline and I can just imagine the great smell! You mentioned that you had to order washing soda online. Can you give me a hint about where you found it to order? Thanks. I want to try this project and can't find it anywhere here either.

Those are all beautiful things to me, too!!! =) I love the feeling of getting back to basics and making things myself!! =) Aren't those ice cream buckets just the most versatile item? Whenever we leave my parents in CA, my mom always manages to send me with a couple buckets, and one time she sent a big care package in the mail, and she managed to fit one in the box (full of goodies) I always look at "trash" with an eye for how I can re-use it before throwing it away, thanks to my mom. =)

I know I've said this already, but I love the smell of fresh hung sheets and towels! Let me know how the homemade laundry soap is for you. I'm thinking of doing that.
God bless,
Brenda

Here's hoping those sheets weren't white before you dipped them in that homemade soap :)

You continue to amaze me. This is why so many months ago, I told you that for me you truely represent the portrait of a Titus 2 woman. Thank you for taking the time and effort to really help some of us "younger wives/mothers," that are trying to support and challenge one another be more frugal. You are priceless!~Blessings!

Those fresh sunshine dried sheets - reminds me of sleepovers at my grandmother's house as a kid! Hope you're having a nice summer. We've been busy with both travel and home projects.

God bless,
Susan

Just had my sheets hanging out today and then put them right back on the beds - LOVE THAT!

Your clothespin bucket is handy - but I think you need something a little more girlie and cute! :)
