Very Fun Time & Very Sobering Time celebrating LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Notice the 9:03 on the marble over the doorway - the exact timing of the bombing on April 19, 1995

I showed this thermometer with the floating temperatures a couple of weeks ago that I had gotten for a young couple at our church who is getting married soon.
Here they are!!! Dream & James. That "older couple" in the middle is us!!!
Like all showers, you have to play silly games. This was one where there were 2 big bags of clothes. Dream's bag had clothing items belonging to James and James bag had clothing items belonging to Dream. It was so funny. Especially James trying to put on Dream's because he is so much larger than she. They were such good sports and here is the finished product. By the way, they were both blindfolded!!!
These are the Bar-B-Que Cups that I prepared for Dreams shower. They were such a BIG hit, that I prepared the same dish for the Baby Shower, too.

Yes, the winner was the first one to empty their bottle. Tommy won.....but he also cheated by biting off the end of the nipple. Terry & Tony were trying to but couldn't do it.
Lots of gifts. Angela opened the gift and Tommy opened and read the cards. Miss Trinity observed. Angela is opening our gift which was a set of 4 receiving blankets.

I was shocked that 35 people left their one word response. I thought it would be fun to try and write a piece, about how I feel about all of them, using the word each of them left. It is in italic ts: here goes.....
You were all so merciful and enthusiastic in playing along with me on this intelligent fun post. You were not only super nice but helpful & hopeful (Kahri had to leave 2 "h" words!!!) and showed remarkable kindness in being so thoughtful and ready to play along. Showed how righteous you are toward this evangelical gal (me!) and your beautiful heart toward me that is so wonderful.
It also shows me how reliable you are toward the remarkable connection that fb & blogging have made between us. I so appreciate the noble words you were so incredible to select. Warmhearted is the most noticeable trait to add to this loquacious fun.
It is a rare and remarkable kind of beautiful relationship between us humble friends. You shower me with so much loving as I endeavor to be a mentor. in a very small way, to the amazing and thankfully spiritual connections that God makes between us in the Body of Christ.
I'm thankful that these avenues, which I find so neat, are open to so much genuine loving of one another as we join in rejoicing together over His great love that is yielding such real fruit of joy in my life. Top that off with, you keep me youthful.
I found that fun to compose and put together. The words are in the order they were posted and this is truly how I feel about you, my fb & blogging friends.
I am blessed!!!

We have been so very busy the last several months that I must admit I am enjoying the snow and an excuse to just stay home and stay in.
Prepared some more sweets today. First was Date Oatmeal Cookies
Another full cookie jar to go along with the Butterscotch Chip cookie jar from yesterday.
The over flow from the 2 cookie jars. You can see the Buterscotch are disappearing :o)
I've taught him to well about blogging and he snuck up on me and got these pictures!!! I was so busy in the kitchen I didn't get any of him when he was out doing this.

First Dave, although we haven't seen it yet!!!, and then Benny have recently bought motorcycles. Last Sunday Benny "rode" over to show us the used Har*ley David*son he bought. Mickey is checking it out :o)
Very nice....of course that is par for Benny.
A better view of the Har*ley, Benny & Jacque. Look at the happy look on those faces. Look at ALL that chome. I don't know which is shining the brightest.
Away they go!!! YES, they got the helmet lecture from Mom & Dad!!!!!
Here is Granddad talking to him early Thursday morning about getting up and out of bed.
They were having so much fun "playing" that I had to get a picture. It is such a joy for us to have this special time with our one & only grandson, and youngest grandchild.
Seeing my sheets freshly washed, in my home made laundry soap, hanging on my new clothesline in my backyard is a thing of beauty to me!!!
Remember, last time when I showed the spilled bucket and the clothespins all over the grass because the clothespin did not hold the bucket on the line? Well my sweet, and always thinking of a solution,
Another thing of beauty to me is these new items I just purchased for my healthier cooking projects. 3 new teflon skillets of various sizes. I only had one large stainless steel skillet. Red Toasted Bell Peppers, Curry Powder, Spiced Apple Butter, Molasses, Red Wine Vinegar & White Cooking Wine. What fun.
