GOD MADE THE STARS & THE MOON
Don't know if you could see this in your part of the country last night or not but the position of Venus and the Moon was just perfect last night.

Not the best pictures in the world but not bad for just our little digital camera. These were taken off our back patio between the trees.
Part of Gods Great Big Beautiful World
How could anyone NOT believe in Him?

I love the way Genesis puts it, " He made the sun and the moon, and the stars also" Almost like it was an after thought!
I think you got some beautiful shots! Our skies were cloudy last night so didn't get to see that. I love it when anything goes on in the sky that we can watch...like eclipses or meteor showers!! xox
Great pictures! We were able to see it and the children were thrilled.
BEAUTIFUL!!! I heard about it this morning, so I missed it last night. I will look again tonight to see if it's there. Thanks so much for getting it on "film"
I so agree. There is beauty all around us.
When we were driving back home last night we saw the planet Venus so clear too.
Nice photos. We've had clouds and rain for the past few days so I didn't even go outside. I hate getting wet.
Our Lord sure made a lot of womderful things for us to see.
Last weekend I went on a day trip with my sisters and bro in law. We saw Snoqualmie Falls. It's breath taking!!! I have some pictures to post as soon as I figure out how!
It's nice to be back in the blog circle again. I've missed you all. I have a lot of learning to do with this new computer.
Very pretty! Moon and sky photos are among my favorites! I saw this beautiful sight from my yard too. I'm glad you got a nice picture of it!
Hello Susan, O! the photos are lovely and while I am sure I would have been able to see the moon, had it not been raining :) last night I would have let you know today but alas! I am enjoying the rain at long last we are getting lots and lots.
The post before is so great too! the photos of family are always nice to share.

I am so thankful that you stopped by my blog. What a blessign it is to me, to also find yours. Your pictures are beautiful ~ we were not able to see that in Japan. So, thank you! God created so much beauty in this world ~ thank you for sharing a little bit of it from your part of the world. Have a very blessed day!
I was thinking the same thing as Jungle Mom; how Genesis says He made the stars also... always fascinated me.
Great photos!
Twas raining here, but we can often see planets. I never know which planets, but we can see them.
I taught high school biology to several Christian homeschool kids. We purposely watched public school bio films.
evolution, evolution, evolution, and MORE evolution.
The teens were disgusted with the whole concept (without any mom preaching necessary!). It's SO obvious that nature was DESIGNED and PLANNED.
Thank You Susan - I was so delighted to view your wonderful photo's and close-up too.
I did see this with my kids and it was such a beautiful view... funny how we all in blog land are all over the country but we look up to the same sky! ~ Kim
I had to do something I never wanted to do......delete a comment. If you wish to leave an argumentative comment please at least have the curtesy to leave a blog link or an e-mail address where you can be reached.
I am dubious of argumentative anonymous comments. Other anonymous comments are more than welcome.
Hope this makes my position clear.
Great Photo's
Like lee Ann it was overcast raining and very cold so stayed inside with heater blazing. but not complaining we need the rain desperately. were all on water restictions and hoping for more heavy rain fall to break the drought.
You ask: How could anyone NOT believe in Him?
The answer is easy. When you see the mess the world is in, and what hatred, misery and death has been caused in His name, even to innocent little children.
Venus has been very bright here too. I have commented on it to my family when I look up and see it. It seems so close. I loved the photos, Susan.
They are very nice captures Susan, I especially like the second one, framed by the trees. I saw the proximation in Spain a couple of days ago, and also in Russia the week before. Seems like Venus is following the moon around.
By the way, is that a bird feeder I see hanging there in the bottom-centre of the second capture? Do you get much coming to it?
Jim
Sorry, I meant to add that I like the you have caught the "earth-shine" illuminating the 'dark' side of the moon.
Great pictures!
Yes, how could anyone NOT believe in Him?
Psalm 8:3-8
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,
7 all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
Too bad we misuse the power that we have and worse than that blame it on God.
we didn't get to see that here, but maybe that's because we weren't looking...i didn't even know this was going to happen! i'm so glad that i got to see it on your blog! beautiful!
So many of you say it so beautifully. GOD in his awesome GLORY. Each time I see bright planets, amazing displays of moon, stars, sun...Like sunsets in NM or AZ, and the Milky way in the mountains of Colorado. I tell my wife "GOD HAS HIS PAINTBRUSH OUT AGAIN" Don't see how anyone can reject GOD'S presence in our Universe. I'TS EVERWHERE AND HE IS EVERWHERE..PRAISE BE TO HIM.....Don
