Grandparents Day With Aric

Mickey and I had the privilege last Friday to attend Grandparents Day at Skelly Elementary in Tulsa with our grandson, Aric.

Here are Aric and I walking from his classroom into the cafeteria for a boxed lunch........................
We've already had our prayer and Grandpa is opening his drink can and making preparations to eat. If you look closely you can see that Aric has already opened his cookie and is proceeding to eat it first. Hmmmmm.....bet if Dad

were here he wouldn't be doing that!! But you know how grandparents are :o)
With the cookie partially eaten Aric proceeds to unwrap his submarine sandwich and prepare to eat.
Here's two of the favorite guys in my life. Grandpa Mickey and Aric just before he goes back to his class to finish out his day.

It was a fun time and we are so thankful to be a part of Aric's life and activities.

Sounds like you had a fun time!!
I wish either Al's parents or mine lived closer so they could come to more of our kids activities.

My oldest is 16. My youngest is 6. So it is probable that I'll have Grandchildren before I have booted the last child out of the house.

That suits me fine. Because it looks like so much fun.

Hi. Just saw you over at ZZtop's blog commenting on her meme.

To copy one of those, all you have to do is highlight it as the directions say, right click and select copy.

Go to your blog, select (edit html - I think - you'll see it) and do another right click. Select "paste" and all the language will show up. When you select "compose", it will appear as the meme.

At least is usually works for me and I'm certainly not a computer whiz.

I just tested my instructions and they work. To highlight, go to the top of that strange looking code and left click. The whole thing should highlight at once but if it doesn't, just run your browser down the whole thing and then "copy".

It will work for almost all the memes or any other text you want to copy to your blog.

Aren't grandchildren wonderful? I am with you, I don't think it hurts for our grand kids to eat sweets first, at least at Grandma's house. connie from Texas

I found you at Merle's.
I love having time with my great grandkids too. They say the cutest things and of course we let them have dessert first, once in a while.
I read your testimony and was blessed. It's great to meet another Christian Blogger.

I think it is great that you able to be at your grandchildren's schools for those kind of days! I don't think we had days like that when I was in school - a day to invite our grandparents. It would have been fun!

I wish I could see the photos you posted. I'm not sure why that happens sometimes with Blogger. It's happened to me before too.

It sounds as if you all had a wonderful time.

I love reading anything about grandparents interacting with grandchildren. My dad was killed before I was born, and my mother has been very sick for several years, so I wonder what it would be like to see the kids interacting with my parents.

What I have enjoyed is older friends that I have treating my children like their own grandchildren. It makes all the difference.

I am glad that you have been visiting my blog, I can't remember if I told you about my homeschool blog. I have several pictures of my cutie pies on that site.

To get your pictures to show again, just go to "Edit", delete the pictures then upload them again. That should do the trick:-) I'm so glad to hear you had such a lovely day with your grandson...I can't wait to become a grandma...maybe one day:-) xox

P.S. You wondered about how I did the signs on my post today...it's from a web site called customsigngenerator and they have a long list of fun signs you can make up:-)

Well, you can see I reposted the pictures but now they are not in the proper placement. At least you can see them!

Mrs. Blogger Novice is still working and trying!!

Great pictures!!!

I've found, when adding pictures, they are always added to the top. If you click on it (while writing your post) you can drag them to where you want them - most of the time. I think Mrs. Blogger Novice is doing a wonderful job!
