What is truth? And, what is THE TRUTH?

I posted this on September 1st, but am re-posting on Spiritual Sundays because I am asking for you to join us in prayer. Addendum following.
********************************
This will be one of the hardest posts I have ever had to write....and one I NEVER thought I would have to do.

Our oldest daughter, Suzette, has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. This nightmare, and that is what this is, began on a routine Primary Care Dr appointment on Wednesday, the 22nd. She was put in the hospital on Thursday & Friday and 3 new Dr. were called in. On Thursday they informed us she had a mass in her lung area. On Friday they drained about a quart of fluid off the right lung in the morning and that afternoon they did a biopsy of an area between her breasts. They did let her go home Friday evening around 9 p.m. Tuesday at 2 p.m. she and her husband meet with the Oncologist and were given the result.

Yesterday she had an MRI. This morning she is having a Pep Scan and this afternoon at 1:45 they will begin radiation.

Now these are the human "facts" but what is THE TRUTH? The truth is "By His stripes Suzette is healed"

THE TRUTH is Psalm 112:6-8 'speaking of the righteous...He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear, in the end he will triumph on his foes."

THE TRUTH is the evil, slimy, nothing devil is going to be sorry he ever tried to attack THIS FAMILY in this way. Suzette is a Child of the Living God. Suzette is our heritage. "By His stripes Suzette is healed". "With LONG life will He bless Suzette".

I could go on and on and we will be declaring THE TRUTH constantly from all the many promises our wonderful, Almighty God, Our Father has given us in His blessed Word.

We have been given an evil report.....BUT we will believe the Word of the Lord !!!

The purpose of this post today, is not for sympathy but to ask the many Christians who read Penless Writer to stand with us in PRAYER and in AGREEMENT with GOD'S WORD for the complete healing of our precious Suzette. And, to declare to anyone who might happen by this blog.....THE TRUTH.
***********************
ADDENDUM: Since the above post just 2 days ago Suzette has had the pepscan which showed no cancer in any of the other organs. Her Dr. is saying he still believes it is in the liver, even though the scan is not showing it. What he doesn't know is that SUZETTE'S healing is already beginning and THAT is why it didn't show up in the scan. We KNOW it and so will he before this is over!!!!

My word for 2010 - VULNERABLE

This is the word the Lord gave me on 12/30/09 as my word for the year 2010. Here is the post if you'd care to read it.

VULNERABLE

adj (Latin vulnus, a wound) - 1) That can be wounded, or injured. 2) open to, or liable to be hurt by, criticism or attack.

I love the way God warns us and protects us about various things. He is such a good and faithful God to me in all ways. But, I have to admit, even though He warns and prepares us, ....still......often times I am taken unawares. I was taken unawares this week.

This is the scripture He gave me then:

"So I stationed armed guards at the most vulnerable places of the wall and assigned people by families with their swords, lances, and bows. After looking things over I stood up and spoke to the nobles, officials, and everyone else: "Don't be afraid of them. Put your minds on the Master, great and awesome, and then fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes."

Nehemiah 4:13 The Message

Yes, I am VULNERABLE. But, He has placed those strong and dear to me to whom I could go to for Godly counsel and I did. Thank you Lord for those strong in The Word and Faith who I can turn to who uplift my arms for the battle. Thank you Father God that YOU are always the answer, the way and the more than enough God for me.

CINDY McCAIN -

This is an e-mail I received

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal on Cindy McCain, John's wife. All I ever saw was this attractive woman standing beside John. I was surprised how talented and involved with world problems she is. This is a summary of the article.

She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs teacher. After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm and is now the chairwoman. Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father.

They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets remain separate. She is involved around the world clearing land mines - travels to these countries on a detonation team and serves on their board.

They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq - another son in the Naval Academy, a daughter recentrly graduated from Columbia University, and adopted daughter in high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm.

Raised kids in Phoenix, AZ rather than Washington DC (better atmosphere) He commuted.

In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a girl in an orphanage in Bangladesh with a severe cleft palate. The couple adopted the girl who has had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical problems.

They have a Family Foundation for children's causes.

She's active with "Halo Trust" - to clear land mines, provide water and food in was ravaged and developing countries.

She will join an overseas mission of "Operation Smile", a charity for corrective surgery on children's faces.

She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers. She talks openly about it, which she says is part of the recovery process.

I'm surprised the media is so quiet about her attributes. We would really get two for the price of one. A person with business and international experience. John did work for the firm for awhile when he left the Navy. She, however, has the real business experience.

EXAMINING OUR PARADIGMS & TRUTH

I recently blogged about the book, THE SHACK by William P. Young. I was just so moved by this book that I'm finding it hard to get it off my mind.

There is one paragraph in the book, that to me, the book would have been worth reading for just this one paragraph. So I am quoting that paragraph here. I trust you will REALLY ponder what this is saying, and not just read the words.

"Paradigms power perception & perceptions power emotions.

Most emotions are responses to perception - what you think is true about a given situation. If your perception is false, then your emotional response to it will be false too. So check your perceptions, and beyond that check the truthfulness of your paradigms - what you believe. Just because you believe something firmly doesn't make it true. Be willing to reexamine what you believe. The more you live in the truth, the more your emotions will help you see clearly. But even then, you don't want to trust them more than me."

This is of course God speaking to the character in the book. But it is what God is speaking to ALL of us. Base what you believe ONLY on THE WORD OF GOD, THE BIBLE, and what it says and nothing else. Reexamine what you believe. Is it in line with God's Word? If it isn't we are off base. The truth will set us free but it is only THE TRUTH that we KNOW that sets us free.

My prayer is that we may ALL be free in deed.

WHAT IS TRUTH?

Have you ever pondered this question?

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

In today's society is is easy to speak of GOD. Because GOD can mean many different things to many different people. God to some can mean the god of Mohammad, the god of Islam, the Secret, the Universal god, the Spirit god, it goes on and on.

It is becoming harder and harder to find acceptance to the name JESUS. Yet Jesus is the way, the truth, the life. Did He say "no man cometh unto the Father, but by me"? What does that do with the theory that there are many ways to God.

The worst danger is in 1/2 truths. That is the ploy that satan has used from the beginning. When he tempted Eve in the garden: "And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of EVERY TREE of the garden?" Genesis 3:1b

What God had said was, "And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, of EVERY TREE OF THE GARDEN THOUS MAYEST FREELY EAT: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shall surely die." Genesis 2:16-17

"Not eat of every tree" - Satan - VS - "Thous mayest freely eat, but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil" - God

Eve answered in a 1/2 truth saying, "But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." Genesis 3:3 No where did God say "neither shall ye touch it".

Full lie: "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" Genesis 3:4 God had said they would surely die.

In our society we are bombarded with 1/2 truths, or out and out lies on every side. We know, even as we watch and hear them, that the claims of advertising we see and hear, day in and day out, on TV and radio are not truth. We listen to the politicians, and know that 1/2, or more, of what we are being told is not truth. We have become so accustomed to it that we readily accept it. The really sad part is we hardly know truth when we do hear it.

If we are not careful, all the above is conditioning us to believe 1/2 truths, and out and out lies. Causing unbelief about what God, our Lord Jesus, the Christ, and the Bible, God's Holy Word, are telling us Truth is.

"Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way,

the truth,

and the life

no man cometh unto the Father,

but by me."

THIS IS TRUTH!!!!

400 Year Ago TODAY

April 29, 1607
That's right - 400 years ago this very day our forefathers arrived from England after a 4 month journey by sea.
Robert Hunt, Pastor
Stood on the shore of what is now Jamestown, Virginia and declared the following:
"From these very shores the gospel will go out
not only to these shores but all around the world"
It has! America has overwhelmingly been responsible for spreading the Gospel (the good news) of Jesus Christ around the world. Our very nation was founded upon the laws of God as proclaimed by the Bible, God's Holy Word.
It breaks my heart to see what is happening to our nation and to the Church. We are becoming a desensitised people. You cannot tell any different between the average Christian today and Joe Blow. It is heartbreaking.
In 1945 sixty four % of Americans held a
Biblical World View.
In 2007 only 4% of Americans hold a Biblical World View.
GOD HELP US!!!!
As for my husband and I we take a stand this day to do what we can in our little world to make a difference and stand up for what is right, and good and HOLY.

This Facinating World of Blog

On January 31st I posted my first blog. I had been following my friend, Kahri's blog for about a year. She knew I kept up with her, on a daily basis with it so I didn't have to disturb her with a phone call. I never left a comment. I didn't know I was allowed to. I never asked but I just surmised that you only left a comment if you had a blog, too. Wrong.....for all you lurkers out there, that read the various blogs, we would love for you to leave us a comment.

When I started my thoughts were "No one is going to care one bit what a gray headed 69 year old grandmother has to say:". During the year of reading Kahri and her friends blot I just knew that everyone blogging was basically a SAHM in their 20's or 30's. Wrong again. I have found this blogging world to be full or all ages, all shapes, all sizes, both genders, and certainly every opinion under the sun. THAT is what to me is so wonderful.

Blogging has offered me so much. Now that I try and think about it I can't even remember what I really thought it was going to offer me. I guess I thought of it as my own personal journal, but in the form of a blog that maybe my children would read and learn a little more about me. As so often in life,we don't get what we expect; my children do not seem to be very interested in my little blog at all. Conversely in life, we get so much MORE that we can hope and think. "Now unto him that is able to do exceedinging abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Ephesians 3:20

#1 - I have made so many new friends. That feature about it never entered my mind and yet it is such a big blessing.

#2 YOU have allowed me to "see" and visit so many beautiful and wonderful places through the wonderful and beautiful photography that many of you post.

#3 - YOU have given me an "insiders" view of other areas of the world we live in. Showing me both the good and the bad but most importantly the real.

#4 - YOU have made me think and hopefully expand my thinking.

#5 - YOU have made me laugh and smile and enjoy real wholesome humor.

#6 - YOU have made me cry, along with you, in your pain and confusion.

#7 - YOU have opened your hearts and your minds and let me voice my opinion and even shared your thoughts and comments with me.

#8-One of the most astounding things has been how far reaching our blogs are. It absolutely blows my mind that my little blog has "ventured" into 20 foreign countries. How mind boggling is that!!! I've often wondered if I've actually reached all 50 of our great United States.

#9 - It's so interesting to me how very diverse we are, and yet within that diversity so very much alike.

#10 - Most importantly I want to close by saying: You have shared your hearts and yourselves with me and for that I THANK YOU!!!!

I Was Tagged

i WAS TAGGED ON sUNDAY BY Candy, OF cANDY & rOSES, AND ON sATURDAY (ALTHOUGH i WASN'T INFORMED UNTIL THIS MORNING) BY Connie, OF cONNIE'S tHOUGHTS fROM THE hEART, FOR THE Thinking bLOG aWARD.

i AM SUPPOSE TO PASTE A Thinking Blog Award picture HERE BUT i DON'T KNOW HOW SO THIS WILL HAVE TO SUFFICE. gOES TO SHOW i DO A LOT OF "Thinking" BUT NOT REAL GOOD AT "figuring out" ALL THESE BLOGGING TRICKS.

i FIND THIS AWARD ITSELF TO BE SO INTERESTING. tHE REASON BEING BECAUSE IT IS, IN EFFECT, JUST ANOTHER mEME. bY THE WAY, CAN anyone GIVE ME THE DEFINITION OF mEME? i HEARD SOMEONE ELSE ASK THAT SAME THING. i, BEING NEW TO THIS GAME OF BLOGGING, THOUGHT IT STOOD FOR "It's all about ME". Then someone else said, "That's not what it means", but I still don't know what it means. To me it appears to be just a chain letter, of pyramid type thing.

I looked back this morning and I have posted 54 blogs since beginning this adventure on January 21st. Of those 54 blogs 5 have been Meme's and all were posted during the month of March. That is significant because March is when I've been so occupied, and pre-occupied, with scanning a lifetime of photos. The reason I posted these 5 Meme's is because I was busy, and didn't have the time or the desire to take the time to 'THINK". It is easy to answer questions like those because it's all about ME!!!! I must say, I TOTALLY ENJOY READING OTHER PEOPLES MEME"s because it gives me a little insight into some of the people I find interesting, amusing, funny, and some who make me think. I don't know about you, but the blogs I choose to read on a pretty consistent basis fall into these categories.

Now for my list of 5.

My first has to be Kahri who writes under The Lynn Family Blog: Our Peculiar Life. Kahri is a young woman who, along with her husband, Michael, gave us the privilege of walking, and praying, through a VERY difficult time in their lives when they were told their new born baby girl, Kaedra, would not live. Kaedy spent 11 months in the hospital but is one of the most adorable 2 and a half year olds you'd ever want to see. She still has a few issues but she is truly OUR MIRACLE BABY!!! Kahri is literally the one who introduced me to blogging. Before she came into my life I'd never even heard the word. Wutgiyt Kahri there would be no Penless Writer!!!!

My next choice is Marallyn who writes under Shalom from Jerusalem. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have contact with her. I have a great love for my Jewish brothers and sisters and am FU::Y aware I am a branch grafted into their tree. . Marallyn is a gifted writer and is teaching me much. I thank you Marallyn.

My third choice is Susie , A Pink Carnation, and truly a flower in my bouquet of blogging friends.. You must go and read her "My Titles Story" on her side bar. If that doesn't move you, you must be made of stone.

My fourth choice is Liana, A Transformed Woman. I just recently "met" Liana through Susie who posted her link and said "check it out". I did and have been so blessed. This young wife and mother is living in China and really GETS it. She doesn't blog a lot, but I check her every day because when she does she has soooo much depth.

My fifth choice is ONLY YOU KNOW!!!! This is that lurker out there who has not yet taken that step of first commenting and then jumping into the blogging world. I, for one, WANT to know what you're thinking and have to say. I, for one, am EAGER to "met" you and get to "know" you.

To my dearest and best, Ginger & Leigh Ann...Candy beat me to you Leigh Ann!!! And you, Leigh Ann, beat me to Ginger!!! You both know my thought toward you and that I begin,, and usually end, each blogging day checking into what marvelous thoughts you've posted.

To all of you who blog and post so I can read and be blessed and to you who come by to read my thoughts I just say 'THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART".

Now you 5 must go here to see the rules & nominate 5 of your choice. Happy picking!

HAPPY RISEN LORD'S DAY

I, like I'm sure all of you, have spent the last few days really reflecting on my LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS the CHRIST,. What an awesome thing to call HIM not only SAVIOR but LORD, and to have HIM call me HIS child. That blows my mind still today after being HIS child for all these years.

As we (I) meditate, these last few days, on ALL that HIS BLOOD purchased for us (me), my most fervent PRAYER is that not one stripe, not one spit, not one cursing, will have been in vain on my behalf. That I might live up to EVERYTHING that HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD purchased for me. Not only in the life to come but here and now, TODAY!!! My greatest hope and desire is to hear HIM say, "Well done".

My wish, for each and every one of you that pass by this little tribute of mine to MY RISEN LORD and MASTER, is that you know and experience HIS LOVE and FORGIVENESS for you.

HE truly PAID IT ALL, once and for all.

I wish all of you a WONDERFUL, BLESSED, HAPPY RISEN LORD'S DAY.
