I Can Only Imagine

We sang this song in church a couple of weeks ago and I so relate. Wanted to share it here. Probably a lot of you are familiar with the words but they are certainly worth of our pondering:)

i can only imagine!
i CAN ONLY IMAGINE
wHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE
wHEN i WALK BY yOUR SIDE.
I CAN ONLY IMAGINE1
WHAT MY EYES WOULD SEE
WHEN YOUR FACE IS BEFORE ME.
I CAN ONLY IMAGINE!
Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You, Jesus?
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence
To my knees will I fall?
Will I sing Halleluiah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine!
I CAN ONLY IMAGINE
WHEN THAT DAY COMES
AND I FIND MYSELF
STANDING IN THE SON.
I CAN ONLY IMAGINE1
WHEN ALL I WILL DO
IS FOREVER, FOREVER WORSHIP YOU.
I CAN ONLY IMAGINE!
I've been thinking about this on this Sabbath day. I can ONLY imagine!!! but Oh what a glorious day that will be!

I love that song too. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what we do when we get there.

Hope you had a great weekend!

I agree with you. This song paints such a great picture.

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. I am sorry I am just now "getting around" to visit...hopefully I'll be back to "normal" soon. In fact, I have a great post planned to explain my absence. Hope you'll drop back by sometime.

By the way, I love your post below. It really says a lot about how we grow up in Christ.

Blessings.

Susan

Thank you for stopping by. I'm a teacher, and perhaps I can put that book you recommended on my summer reading list.

Glancing over you profile made me smile.

I hope to revisit soon and take a closer look at your posts.

I have that CD playing in my car every day (Mercy Me Worship). It's a beautiful song. It makes me wonder what it will really be like. I know we will be in awe and at HIS feet :)

You might also like "I Stand in Awe of You." I found it on this web site:

Amy - I had a great weekend. Hope you did too. I've missed your posts the last few days. Are you like me and too busy reading them to post?!

Susan - Thanks for checking me out. I read your post on the organizing.

Cusious - Thank you. I find your site and your commentors very moving.

Ginger - I'll have to get me a CD of it. I'd heard it before but it had special impact this time. By the way, Joyce Meyer is going to be here March 4th why don't you come over!

Debbie - I look forward to reading more on your site, too.

Just Mom - Thanks sooo much for that link. The words are wonderful and I did love it. Also, the testimony about it. I did not understand the site though. The layout was new to me.

Penless Thoughts -- The site is someone's personal web site. I actually came across it when I did a Google search for lyrics to "I Stand In Awe" (someone had suggested I sing that song in church, which I did). I have no idea whose site it is, but kept the link because it had a recording of the music. I didn't really read the testimony either, because I don't know the person. :-(

Susan, if you only knew how much I would love to be there with you for Joyce! I hope you get to hear her and enjoy! My friend down in Texas just told me that she's going to hear Beth Moore this weekend. She was just here this past weekend, but I didn't get to hear her. Maybe next time.

I know it sounds morbid but I want that song played at my funeral if I go to heaven before the Lord comes for us all! It's such a great example of not fearing our end to this life but to anticipate our next!

Heidi - WOW! I don't think that's morbid at all. I think that's wonderful.

Oh Candy! I did not see your post on link until your comment and went and looked. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for pointing me there:-)
