Five things you like doing:
1. Travel
2. Birding
3. Performing arts (ballet, opera).
4. Fishing (especially for my tea!)
5. Anthropology, studying human evolution.
Your snacks sound a bit unhealthy! Our Scottish Dragon, aka Gillian McKeith (she does have a web site) would really take you to task. Her idea of snacks are:
Carrot sticks, raisins, pumkin seeds, celery and tofu.
The original is in Milan Cathedral. I have been to Milan twice, but unfortunately only passing through the airport! I have seen other Leonardo's though, and most of Michelangelo's work. Maybe I should write Michelangelo as one of my favourite five things.
It is now widely considered that the person to the left of Jesus (as we look at it) is a woman. There is mounting historical evidence of course that Jesus was married.
Yes, to Mary Magdalen, but that is only Dan Brown's theory. Personally I don't have a problem with Jesus being married. We are taught that Jesus was all man.
The man/woman in the Last Supper is almost identical to the painting of St John the Baptist (Louvre). I don't know whether he used the same model, but quite a few of his 'men' are almost hermaphrodite. Art historians tend to think this is because of Leonardo's homosexuality, as he fancied effeminate men. But there again, there should be no reason a woman couldn't be present at the Passover Supper. It is not Jewish custom to exclude them.
When are you going to post a picture of the days when you wore that mini skirt, hehe.
Come to think of it I think we have seen some pretty awesome photos of you back in the day :)
I laughed at a few of your responces. This was fun!
Funny you should say that Lorenzo. I was looking at some Leonardo's stuff in St Petersburg recently and formed exactly the same impression. Same goes for Titian,I thought. maybe lots or artists are homosexual, I know that a lot of composers are.
Sorry Penless, we seem to be carrying over your last topic into this one. I'll say no more.
Thank you Maalie for showing that consideration for my blog.

Hee, hee, most of my answers would be the same as yours, and my five bad habits are almost identical!! (The only exception is, I am not a backseat driver, I am a terrible driver so I anyone else's driving is an improvement!!) So I'll have to think hard in order to come up with original answers!! =)

Thanks for sharing. It was fun to learn more about you.
This looks like a fun meme. I will work on my answers and post them soon.
Dear Susan...how very fun. I am with you on many, many things. I think one of my favorite snacks is popcorn made on the stove!
I must interject a few statements to a few comments that were made. They were somewhat off the subject of the meme, and so have gone mostly unchecked.
Such is how life is, we get cozy and wish not to get involved, like WWI. We so tried to avoid this matter, that didn't resolve itself and had to have another major world war nearly 20 years later. Unfortunately one must get in the thick of it, as a Christian.
It is now widely considered that the person to the left of Jesus (as we look at it) is a woman.
This is a frightening statement. Not the statement about the woman, but that widely accepted sets things as truth. It was widely accepted that the earth was flat. It certainly did not make that statement true.
There is mounting historical evidence of course that Jesus was married.
This is another statement that is made implying truth by the mounting evidence. This has been a dangerous slope of supporting truth, which is really nothing more than opinion.
My proof(regardless of how I feel about the Iraqi war) is this...there was mounting historical evidence that Iraq had large volumes of WMD(weapons of mass destruction), in fact 2 US presidents, all of congress, and several other heads of state and the un agreed that there were WMD. Some had other ideas to a resolution, but all historical evidence pointed that way. I believe that it was a little of both(we knew from the 80's) that Saddam had chemical weapons, but the rest was more hype.
Just as your statement about Jesus. The piece of truth, Jesus came to earth as a man, but that is where truth now gets garbled. We often try to plug God into our perceptions, we marry, so therefore He must have. I look at it this way, a 3 year old will tell you that a home may cost $100.00, having no concept of reality in business, nor in finance, and only
a minute concept of money, so the statement is based on this tiny information. Such is the case with us. We only have a minute concept of the awesome, greatness of the Lord, so we discuss Him in these terms. One must be careful not to accidentally mislead with an opinion, sounding like a fact. Both of these statements that I discussed above are as I said, opinions smothered in group thought then becoming truth.
The group isn't always correct, in fact, many times, the smaller, weaker, or less educated will trust and take the statement of one in power..Take Al Gore and global warming. This is something he himself doesn't believe in(lifestyle homes vehicles etc) yet perpetuates this story as truth...the masses (such as Hollywood, or educational system) have taken this as truth and jumped on the bandwagon. Why?
One must learn discernment and discrimination to understand how to process information.

Hello again, Susan, I know this is comment #3, but I just had to tell you this... my 8 year old Mark was reading Vanessa's comments over my shoulder, and out of nowhere he said, "Penless looks like a really, really nice lady." So I thought I would pass along that compliment to you!!! =)
