WONDERFUL QUOTES

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTER

By Maya Angelou

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ

That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say...'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,'

I'm whispering 'I am lost, Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say...'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride,

I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say...'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong,

I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success

I'm admitting I have failed, and need God to clean my mess.

When I say...'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,

My flaws are far to visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say...'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain...

I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say...'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou.

I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

TODAY IS BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTERS DAY

I received this from a Beautiful Christian Sister

I'm supposed to send this to BEAUTIFUL WOMEN.

That's why I've placed it here!!!

People May Not Remember exactly what you did, or what you said,

THEM FEEL

Susan, those are great quotes. I especially love this one:
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

Oh Susan how beautiful!! You know that one about always remembering how people made you feel is so true. I remember when I was in horrible depression... the ones that made me feel worse and the ones who were a balm to my soul with encouraging, kind, and loving words. I have never forgotten them and hold these people so dear in my heart. I have been thinking of a blog post about being an encourager and words fitly spoken. It is something that has been on my heart for a while now. We need to be agents of God's grace, mercy, love, gentleness, and kindness.
So good to come here for a few minutes and say hello. God bless you.

I have seen that wonderful piece by Maya Angelou once before and didn't realize she was a believer. Oprah loves Maya, but it seems she needs to listen more closely!
