MAKING A MARK

I read the neatest thing this morning:

"Anytime you try to make your mark, you'll attract erasers."

Isn't that wonderful? It really got me to thinking because it is so true.

When we make our mark for Jesus; with our living style, with our words, with our actions, and even with what we type on the pages of our blogs, we will attract the erasers. Seems like since they've erased Him from their lives they want to try and erase Him from ours.

I for one, and I know I am not alone, am determined to use the indelible mark of the precious blood of my Lord and Savior to leave the marks I can. It has nothing to do with me......it is his blood that makes them indelible and they cannot be erased. I am so thankful that it is all about HIM and not about me. I am thankful He gives me the choice, and free will, to make my marks for Him. I will continue to do so.

Just my thoughts for today.

And I love those thoughts :)

You know it never fails, when I move closer to Jesus, there follows those who will either back away, ditch me altogether, OR do what they can to make me stumble.

The unsaved ones in my life do not want to be around me when I am on fire for Him and filled with His joy. It is really sad.

What a great word today Susan!!

It is SO true...it seems like every time I take another stand for God someone comes along and tries to steal the joy out of it...not any more!!!

Thanks,
Melissa

Great thoughts. I love this part " I am so thankful that it is all about HIM and not about me. I am thankful He gives me the choice, and free will, to make my marks for Him."

what wonderful thoughts, susan. and you're right... what a great saying and how true it is. there will always be those who don't like what we may say or what we do and they will do their best to knock us down, or try to erase what is important to us.

And may the Lord help you to continue to speak for Him. There is no more important thing that we can do. I couldn't agree more--it's not about us, but about Him. At least that's what it should be, right? Thanks for these great thoughts, Susan.

Oops, Sorry Susan. That last comment was from me. I didn't realize it was on my daughter's account.

My mom and I were just discussing this topic today. I received messages from two people this week that have confimed that they see God in me, in my blog and my comments - even though I rarely quote the Word or get on my soapbox. In fact, most of the time I'm just plain goofy! But God has opened doors for me through humor to reach people I never knew would be possible to reach. He opens doors for little comment here and a gentle correction there and the fruit is growing. I am so humbled that He would choose to use me!

Thank you for sharing this I have been through a difficult week at work and were severely attacked by my boss - this confirmed to me they try to erase the mark I am making in the office. They are all outspoken humanists and does not believe in God at all. Some are outspoken in their hatred of Christians. I need to blog about my work sometime...

Interesting. Sometimes it may also attract graffiti. It is a struggle but we continue to live for Christ. His joy is nevertheless our strength.
