PRAISING GOD

I had not spoken about it on my blog much but Mickey & I moved a young man from our church into our 5th wheel in our back yard on August 21st. Mickey also gave him our 92 Chevy S-10 pickup to drive. On August 27th another couple from our church hired him to work for them.

He & his wife were facing some difficult times and decisions. They have 4 precious young children ages 2 to 7.

It has been such a joy to Mickey & I to be able to minister to this young couple over these past 10 weeks. More to him than to her because we saw him on almost a daily basis.

About 4 weeks ago he began to once again attend church with us and they sat in the pew in front of us. It was such a joy for all of us: them, us, and the Church Body to see them worshiping together.

Two days ago, on Tuesday, he moved back home where he needs to be. We thank God for the opportunity Mickey & I had to be able to extend help to this couple and watch as God has begun to restore their marriage. To lay that firm foundation that can only be laid by God and upon God. That foundation on which to build the marriage and the ministry that God had in mind for this young couple, and their family, from the very beginning.

Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!!!!!!!

May we each be the Lords hands extended when the opportunity arises. Most importantly of all let us not shoot our wounded Christians.

Thank you Lord.....

for what you HAVE done, what YOU are doing and what YOU will do

in ALL our lives if we will but let YOU.

Yes what a great blessing it is to be able to take folk in and care for them. Something God honoured us with beginning in the early
70's. Of course we know we could never have done it without his indwelling.

It is so great of you to help that young man find his way back.
God bless you.

Susan, I think you all did just what Jesus would do, which was to put hands, feet, faces and hearts to what you say, to what the Bible says, and not just words....prayers even, as crucial as they are, don't take the place of hands-on ministry. Blessings to you all, and we're thankful for the good report.

What a wonderful testimony. You're right Praise God! I pray they grow deeper in their love for each other and the Lord and their commitment is stronger than ever to each other.

You and Mickey are such wonderful examples to all believers.

Praise God from whom all blessing flow.

There are just so many hurting people in this world. As Christians we need to remember not to turn our backs, but to aid in healing and reach out. I know when I was in the pit the hardest part was that no one came along side of me to help pull me out. Where or where were all those who claimed to be His followers?

Bless you and Mickey for having hearts in tune to the Lord's calling.

Praise the Lord, Susan! When I first read about him coming to stay with you I just thought about those precious children who need their daddy.

Thank you, my spiritual "mom" and "dad" for taking me in and ministering to me and my family. We are indeed blessed to have you in our lives. You have both been "Jesus with skin on" for all of us. You will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for the trailer, for the Sunday afternoon dinners, the pick-up, the coffee, the evenings with Mickey and NCIS, and the special time with the bees. Especially thank you for your prayers, friendship and efforts to bring my family back together. Oh, and thank you for always referring to me as a "young man"! God bless both of you.

This is such a heart warming story! This is exactly what the Lord wants us to do - be his hands, etc. for others who are hurting.

Praise The Lord, and thank you for allowing Him to use you!
