BLIZZARD OF FEBRUARY 1, 2011

We have had the most delightful day today, since we did not have to venture out from our home and got to stay in - warm, comfy, plenty of food, TOGETHER..... and just enjoying the beauty and blessings of our Lord.

Snow piled up when I opened the French Door.

Patio table & chairs.

 Back yard swing.
Looking out the front door - walk buried.
4 p.m. after the snow had quit.  Glistening in the sun light.
Current amount of snow piled up when the French Door was opened.
Swing & snow drift along the back house wall.
16" deep as far as I could reach out without getting in the snow, but you can see it is a couple of inches deeper.
You can also see the depth by looking at the marten house pole and the fact Mickey 3 square foot gardening boxes are complete covered with snow and indistinguishable.

Amazing amount of snow for you! My brother in OKC was very excited to get out in it today. We had very cold stuff today and they called off school today and tomorrow - can't quite figure out why.

Wow! I can't believe all the snow you got. It's simply beautiful. So fresh looking. So cold to step in! I couldn't believe how much snow had piled up against your French Doors (I love French doors, by the way!).

Blessings and safety as you get about your beautiful town. Let it melt down and thaw some, as I'm sure you will.

I've been thinking all afternoon about my blog friends and how they are fairing this present winter storm. The pictures are so pretty! Can't believe how much snow you guys are getting! Stay safe and warm!

Those are beautiful photos and you got a lot more snow that we did here.
I think the 45mph wind blew it all else where. We had blizzard conditions on Monday and Tuesday and now we just have that bitter cold.
-40 wind chill actual temp is -11.
Glad to hear that you are safe, warm and plenty of food..
God Bless!!!

I'm ready for spring more than ever! This snow was a humdinger! I'm thankful all my family stayed safe and sound and we have a snug, warm home with plenty of food to eat. You have some great photos of the blizzard of 2011! Take care and stay warm.

The snow is so beautiful but it's certainly causing lots of problems. I am so blessed I don't have to get out in it.

Looks like Pennsylvania style of winter :) In Kentucky, we got the freezing cold and chilling winds but no snow. A friend in Illinois got deep snow like you. We may get sme more this weekend. Go ahead... send dome our way, I love it!!
